Booking through Thursday - Recent Big Reads

What’s the biggest book you’ve read recently?
(Feel free to think “big” as size, or as popularity, or in any other way you care to interpret.)
I don't really read "big" in size books, so I'm going to interpret this one as to big in popularity. I guess that would be "Along Came A Spider" by James Patterson. It's the first book in his Alex Cross series and the Cross series is very popular with readers.
I do have a few "big" in size books waiting for me in my TBR - the Twilight series - and the Outlander series. But...that's why they are sitting in my TBR, the size of them is a big overwhelming to me.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Gabaldon's books are definitely worth a try if you like good historical romance saga.
ReplyDeletePatterson's book are definitely big in popularity though.
Lilly - I'm not big on historical romance, but I did read the first few chapters of Outlander and it has my interest. I just need the time to read it. I tried reading it years ago and I couldn't get into it, but I think I can now.
ReplyDeleteYou have to read the Twilight series. It is fab!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of oversized novels either. Too difficult to read in bed at night. :-)
ReplyDeleteI chose to go with "big" anticipation, quality and themes and chose Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games.
Vivienne - That's what I hear! I want to finish the review books I have first so those aren't hanging over my head.
ReplyDeleteSusan - Very true about reading big books in bed. LOL Also, I can't just slip them into my pocketbook and take along with me :)
Patterson is VERY popular (although I've not read him yet :) Here's my BTT.
ReplyDeleteHaven't read any James Patterson yet, but I do want to give him a try. I usually try to stay away from really long books, too, but I've read several this year for some reason.
ReplyDeleteeven though the Twilight books look huge, they are very very quick reads. I have the Outlander in my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteWhen in college, I and one of my friends use to compete who would read the biggest book. Both of us ended up reading tomes and we still retain our love for books which have 500+ pages.
