Sunday/Monday Posts - May 24th and 25th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

It's been a crazy week.  My father is very ill and in the hospital.  So, I haven't been finishing too many books.  I seem to do better with the audios since I'm listening in the car.

I decided not to review every Agatha Raisin book I listen to.  They are getting to be similar and I'm listening now for the character relationships more than anything else.  If one really gets me interested, then I'll write up a review.  For now, I'm just counting them in my book totals.

For those celebrating Memorial Day, I hope you all are enjoying the weekend and having great weather.  It's beautiful here.

Enjoy the unofficial start of summer!

Yvonne

  4. Does your dad like to read? Is he able right now? What about audio? When I am in the hospital after the second day I have difficulty focusing on a book, but I can do audio. That might be a good way to keep his mind active when he's alone.

    1. I'm the only reader in my family. Even if he was a reader, he wouldn't be up to it right now.

When I was in the hospital, I know I couldn't concentrate on anything except when I was going home.

GH has been so good! I want the truth to come out about Jason already.

  8. I'm sorry to hear about your father. Hopefully he will be feeling better soon. You've got me wanting to read the whole Raisin series. I've read a scattering of books but would love to start at the beginning and work my way up. I can see how they'd really work in audio. Have a great week!

    1. Thank you.

The Raisin series is fun. The good thing about starting with the first book is that you kind of watch Agatha grow.
