Sunday/Monday Posts - February 12th and 13th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday! Happy Valentines Day!

We had our first major snowstorm this week.  We ended up with about a foot of snow...everything closed down on Thursday and slowly everything is getting back to normal, except for the large mounds of snow all over the place.  Not to mention that it's freezing so there's alot of ice on ground.

I'm trying to divide my time between TV, movies and books...not an easy feat.  I recently saw the movie Hidden Figures.  It was excellent.  I'm not sure which movie I'll see next.    As for TV, I've been enjoying This is Us, Chicago Fire, Med, and PD, Bones, Code Black, Criminal Minds and quite a few others.  No wonder I haven't been reading as much as I would like :)

As for blog stuff, I'm still doing the occasional blog tour but I really had to cut back.  They take up so much time, although I'm not cutting them out completely.  Just being more selective.

I can't believe this week is already Valentines Day.  Already one month in 2017 is over.  Time is just zooming by.

I hope you all have a great week and read many great books!

Yvonne

  3. And we have had record high temperatures in Central Texas - upper 80's. We had almost no winter at all. Hope your week goes well!

  4. I divide my time up like that, too, between TV shows, movies, Netflix, etc. I enjoyed I See You...hope you do, too.

I'm also very curious about Twelve Angry Librarians.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  5. Happy Sunday, Yvonne! It is cozy to be inside and admire the snowscape. I wish the weekends were longer, so that I could fit in more time for books and movies! (We did finally manage to see The Girl on the Train last night.) I hope the rest of your Sunday's pleasant and peaceful.

  7. Wow, that's a lot of TV! I can't seem to get into TV like I can with books. I only watch Grimm (which is on its last season, boooo).

I want to read a Shalvis book, eventually! I got two of her books that published last year but I haven't read either. Hopefully I'll catch up and get to both this year. :D I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Yvonne. :)

    Check out my STS post!

  8. Hope all that ice goes away soon. You are watching lots of TV...lol. I am so behind in a lot of shows I like to watch that I have almost decide to just give up, only five or six shows I am current with. NCIS, Bull, NCIS:NO, Leathal Weapon and Macgyver. :) Most of the time I have Netflix on in the background while I read or blog. I have certain shows on there which I watch over and over...lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!

  9. Already the middle of February! That means spring is around the corner and I'm so ready for that. I'm excited for the return of The Walking Dead tonight! Spending the day re-watching last season to get ready. It's been hot here and I actually had the AC on today.

  10. I rarely do blog tours unless it's an author I really like or if it just requires a review - too much work otherwise!

  11. I read Death by Chocolate Lab a couple weeks ago - it's so much fun!!! Can't wait to see what you think of it. :)

  12. That snowstorm missed us, thankfully. My brother got over a foot of snow and is finally dug out. Did you like Never, Never? I've got that on audio. Have a great week.

  13. We had about a foot of snow too. Luckily, this storm today into tomorrow doesn't seem as bad. I really need to binge watch This is Us, everyone seems to love it.
