Sunday/Monday Posts - December 10th and 11th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

It's been a busy week for me - both personally and on the blog.  Work has been busy.  It's always hard to learn a new job, but I'm getting there.  I've had a few blog tours with a couple next week.  I've been trying to keep December as light as I can.

My reading is crazy.  I guess I'm a moody reader...I keep starting books, then putting them aside to read other books.  I'm enjoying them all, but just can't seem to concentrate on anything lately.  Probably because of the new job.  I'm sure it will all come together for me eventually.  Another problem is that I have so many books that I want to read them all NOW.  That doesn't quite work :)  I, also, like to read holiday books in December, but I'm not always in the mood for them.  I should just read what I want to read and not force anything.

Not much in the way of TV viewing since most of the shows are on their winter break.  I still have Survivor (which will probably be ending soon) and General Hospital (which never goes on break, fortunately).  I'll probably start getting into movies for the next few weeks.

That's about it from here.  I hope you all have a great week!

I'm currently juggling my reading with these books...

I finished reading...

I'm finished listening to...

I'm currently listening to...

I can't seem to stay away from Kindle's freebies.  Here are this week's Kindle freebies...  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying.

These books are coming up for review requests and blog tours:

  1. My reading the past week or two is similar to yours as far as print books. I'm having no trouble finishing audio's though. Plus I'm behind on reviewing the books I have finished.

  2. So many tempting books! I had a better week this past week...since I had decided to follow my moods a bit. But that means there are many books still waiting...sigh.

Only a few more hours until Monday...and GH!

  3. I think we all go through the moody reading thing. I know I do. Hope you have a great week. :)

  4. One good thing about our shows ending. We have more time to read! LOL Looks like you have some good ones too. Here's to you settling into your new job and finding time to relax and enjoy:)

  5. Stress has an impact on my reading. Currently I am able to listen better than physically read. I am sure you will learn all the intricacies of the new job soon.

  6. Good luck with the job stuff. I’m watching Survivor, too. I love that show. Have a great week!

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  7. I know what you mean about wanting to read all the books you want right now. It is frustrating to not have the time.

  8. I'm almost through with Pupcakes. I love Teddy! General Hospital is driving me crazy right now. Glad work is going well.

  9. Congrats on the new job! I'm also a holiday reader in December - gimmee all the holiday novels (especially holiday romances). :D That Hope Tarr book looks really good. I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

    Have a fabulous week. =)

    Check out my STS post!

  10. Love that cover for Murder for Christmas. Gonna look into that one. Happy Holiday reading.

  11. I find it difficult to sit and read this time of year. It seems there always something that needs to be done.

  12. I know what you mean about having so many books that you want to read NOW. I have hundreds but am trying to be disciplined and read my review books in order of publication date. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  13. So many pretties. Hope you find a book that you can stick with...soon. :-)

  14. Hope you are enjoying the Jill Shalvis, it jogged my memory to remember I read one of hers last week and forgot to mention it!! Christmas brain!

  15. Yes. Read what you want. Unless your new job includes assigned reading. Then read that at work. And fun stuff at home. Come see what I'm reading.

  16. I get that way with books sometimes when I can't settle on a book. It drives me crazy! That is the only Jill Shalvis in that series that I've read but I really enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun. Have a great week!

  17. My reading too been more down than up and writing reviews has stopped completely! I will get back to normal of course but when?
