First Chapter, First Paragraph, Tuesday Intros/Teaser Tuesdays - February 16th

It's Tuesday!  It's time to share your excerpts and teasers from books we are currently reading, have read or are planning to read.  So, feel free to join us by sharing the first paragraph or (a few) of a book you are reading or thinking about reading soon.  This meme is guaranteed to increase your TBR :)

Please link your blog post using Mr. Linky below. Make sure the link you enter is the direct link to your Tuesday post, not the main link to your blog. Thank you!

I, also, participate and link up to Teaser Tuesdays.  Here's info about that meme:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, now being hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read

* Open to a random page

* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

This is next on my list to read.  It looks good.  It's the second book I'm reading set in a vineyard.  Just a coincidence, not planned :)

First Chapter...

Barefoot, Sarah Dupont hurried to the kitchen, grabbed a handful of grapes and peeked through the glass doors at the rolling hills shimmering with grapevines.  She still couldn't believe she called Bella Villa home.

Teaser...

Sarah put her glass down and stood up.  Danica knew better than to mention his name.  The past six months hadn't been easy, but she'd finally managed to create a new life in Sonoma without him.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Sarah Dupont's mom just died.

Her fiancé's cheated on her with her accountant. (It didn't help when Sarah caught them in the act on top of her cherished pastry table.)

Oh, and they've been robbing her blind, so she's broke now, too.

When Sarah's offered a fresh start, and a place to stay, she high tails it out of San Francisco and moves to rural wine country. Finally settled into her new, small town-sleepy life, with a cafe of her own, the last thing Sarah needs is drama.

So, when notoriously sexy actor Jamie Santino, swaggers into her new business looking for baking lessons, and help with his new movie role, Sarah's blindsided.

Jamie, one of six wealthy Santino Brothers, of Napa Valley Winery fame, has a feeling Sarah might be the off-screen leading lady he's been looking for forever.

Wine flows and their passion has all the ingredients for everlasting love until a femme fatale from Jamie's past enters the scene.

How can Sarah believe Jamie isn't acting, when everything he says sounds too good to be true?

Love at Last (previously published as Just a Kiss) is now the first novel in a large contemporary romance series! If you like small towns, sweet and cozy romances, a full cast of friends, steamy scenes, laughter, and sexy book boyfriends, you'll love book one of Kate Kisset's Love in the Vineyards series.

What do you think? Would you keep reading?

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
