The Weekend Review - April 3rd-5th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Hi Everyone!  Happy Weekend! Happy Spring! Happy Easter! Happy Passover!  Whatever you celebrate, I hope everyone is having a very happy weekend 😀

It's been a good week here.  I finished two books, both I loved.  One is the third book in the Noodle House Mysteries I've been listening to on audio.  The sad part is that they don't have the fourth one out on audio yet.  There are currently 7 books out, so I may switch and read the fourth book as an ebook.  I don't want to fall too far behind as I'm really loving this series.

I continue to enjoy my regular TV shows, although I'm falling a bit behind since I prefer reading to watching TV.  In Florida the weather is so beautiful and reading on the porch is so relaxing.  I prefer doing that to sitting inside watching TV.

Not much new here.  I hope you are all have a wonderful weekend and have a great week!

  1. I've been reading more too lately and watching less TV. I wish I had time for both haha! It is nice that the weather is so warm though. I was just at the bookstore today (it was so weird- it's been like a year) and I was looking at all the fun new cozies.

I just bought a JT Ellison book. Hope yours is good! :)

  7. I'm delighted to hear that where you are the weather is warm enough to sit outside and read. I have happy memories of doing that last summer, which was a cracking one - we are nowhere near those kinds of temperatures yet. And I don't blame you for preferring reading to watching TV! Have a great week, Yvonne.

  8. I greatly prefer reading to tv. We have little tv, only Amazon Prime and Netflix, so that helps me limit my viewing.

The weather here is really lovely, too. Today there is a mix of blue skies with white clouds and just a bit of coolness.

I'm glad you are enjoying the Noodle House mysteries so much. It's great to find a series we enjoy.

  14. I've been reading lots too. I don't watch very much television at any time of the year. I'll have to look for that series by Vivien Chien. I love a good cozy! Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  15. The Noodle House series is one I really want to read. I read one and really loved it but it got lost in all the other series that I have going and never got back. Have a great week!

  17. Looks like you got some good books this week! I love the cover of Cupcakes and Casualties. As the weather gets nicer here in Missouri, I find myself wanting to sit outside more as well. If only my dogs didn't insist on eating dirt and bugs and whatever they can find on the ground when they're bored outside. lol
