I'm also joining in Book Beginnings on Friday. It's hosted by Rose City Reader.
I'm hoping to read this soon. Looks like a nice beach read series.
First Chapter
Roberta Pierce opened her eyes, yawned and stretched. The comforting view of her seascape decorated bedroom did not help soothe her when she reached out one arm to Charlie's side of the bed. It was empty, of course.
From 56% on my Kindle...
Maxine didn't seem to know what to say. She just sat there staring at the wall before her gaze wondered around.
What do you think? What are you sharing today?
I hope this is a good one. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great cover!
ReplyDeleteHi Yvonne!! I love the cover and the opening line does make me want to know more.
ReplyDeleteI finally managed to do a Friday post again! So sorry I've been absent all these weeks. Fridays I'm just so damn tired and just feel like vegging and reading my book. None of that any more!
Enjoy your weekend and I hope you enjoy your book(s).
Lots of Love,

Great opening lines, and I love the cover, too! I am a fan of lighthouses, so I definitely want to know more.
ReplyDeleteHere's mine: “HER THREE LIVES”
What a beautiful cover! And I feel a bit of kinship to the author as we share the same last name (my maiden name).
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting, I want to know where Charlie is now.
ReplyDeleteLIke that cover and those snippets! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cover! Sounds like a good series starter!
ReplyDeleteNot many novels have a protagonist with my name, so I am intrigued already. Hope you have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeletePretty cover! And I like the opening too! Hope you enjoy it!
