The Weekend Review - November 6th-8th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

I hope your November is off to a good start.  The weather here has mostly been beautiful with sun and temps in the 70's with no humidity.  Yesterday we did have alot of rain, but that's over now and it's really lovely.  I did manage to walk a few times this week.

I finished two books this week, both were great cozy mysteries from two of my favorite series.  I've been watching my TV shows and I'm really excited for the new Dexter sequel.  It starts tomorrow and should be good.

I'm in the process of putting together the sign ups for the reading challenges I host.  I hosted four last year and I will continue to host them in 2022 - Cruisin' thru the Cozies Reading Challenge, The Purrfect Reading Challenge, What An Animal Reading Challenge and NetGalley and Edelweiss Reading Challenge.  I'll be posting them some time in November.  So, if you are interested, keep your eyes open for the sign up pages.

I'll be joining a few reading challenges that others host as well.  I didn't finish them all this year but I always have fun searching for the right books to read.

I hope you all have a great week!  Take care and stay safe!

  1. All your upcoming books/tours look great! Viola Shipman is on my must read authors list and I'm curious about My Dearest Husband. I need to pick up the 2nd book in the Kappes series. I really enjoyed the first one. I hope you enjoy the Dexter sequel! I've never watched it but I've heard so much about it. I hope you have a great week!

  3. "The matza ball" looks fantastic. I love reading books that celebrate interfaith. May I recommend "The Intimacy experiment" that features a rabbi as the MC

  8. I usually don't do any challenges other than the Goodreads challenge. But, this summer, I did our library's challenge and it was great fun. So, I'm thinking about maybe taking on a challenge in 2020. We'll see! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories

  10. I’m glad you enjoyed your books.
I’m starting to put together the details for my 2022 Nonfiction Reader Challenge too. I think there are two challenges I’ll fail this year disappointingly.

Wishing you a great reading week

  13. We are going through a warm spell, which will make heading to San Diego easier.

I think I have finally given up on reading challenges. Other than my Goodreads Book Challenge, I never seem to get through them. Good luck with yours.

Styled for Murder and The Matzah Ball sound wonderful. Hope you enjoy your books.
