The Weekend Review - April 30th-May 2nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

A busy blog week, but a quiet personal week.  That suits me just fine :)  The weather here has been nice with some very heavy rain storms.  The rain lately has been overnight and then the days are really nice.  I can deal with that :)

I managed to read three books this week.  A big improvement from previous weeks.  All really good books.  That brings my total of 8 books read in April.  That's pretty standard for me.

I'm still watching my shows...Survivor, 911, 911 Lonestar, The Blacklist, Transplant and The Resident.  Also, of course, This Is Us as it winds down to the end of the series.  I'll miss the series.  I can't believe they are ending it, but there are only four episodes left.

I hope everyone has a great week!  Take care and stay safe!

  5. I like having a busy work week and a quiet personal week, too.

I only finished a small number of books while I was away for most of April, but I'm fine with that. I am sure my reading will pick up now that I'm home.

I haven't seen This is Us. Maybe I should!

  7. Sounds like you've had an interesting week and great with the book journey. I started watching this show with my brother where people have to survive 100 days in Canada in Wilderness. (not sure if that's the same show of any you're watching)

  8. I will miss This Is Us very much! Loved that show, and I wish they would keep going. Sigh.

Meanwhile, it helps to binge-watch a few shows, like the final season of Grace and Frankie (another sadness as it ends). I got hooked on Ozark, even though I don't like some of the characters (Wendy!).

Anyway...your books look good. Enjoy! Here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

  17. I've been complaining about the rain *a lot* (because I'm a weather wimp), but I do love falling asleep to the sound of the rain! I'm glad you are getting sunny days out of the deal! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories

  20. I like quiet weeks but could do with more sunny days. Too much rain and cloud in April for me! It did give me lots of reading time. I've never read a Murder She Wrote book, but then I never watched the series either. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
