The Weekend Review - September 10th-12th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a relatively quiet week for me.  It's even been quiet as far as blog tours last week.  However, next week will be a different story...many blog tours scheduled.

I finished two books this week.  Both were good.

As far as what I've been watching, I've been binging on a new series I found on the Peacock streaming app.  It's called Last Light with Matthew Fox from Lost. We watched the first four episodes last night.  I didn't realize the show is only 5 episodes or we would have kept watching.  I guess we'll finish up tonight.  It's an apocalyptic thriller.  I thought it was really good.  The episodes went by so fast.

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and have a great upcoming week!

  1. Last Light sounds like something I would enjoy watching. We don't currently subscribe to Peacock, but maybe someday. A Death in Door County sounds good too. I hope you are enjoying it! Have a great week, Yvonne, and happy reading!

  2. I'll be curious to see what you thought of A Death in Door Country. I was tempted to read it, but ultimately passed.

  3. That does sound like a good show. I have Peacock but only the base version I think- I upgraded to Premium or whatever it is for a show a couple months ago but then went back to the free version. I'll have to take a look.

  6. I always find the best series to watch from other bloggers. Last Light sounds promising. I love a good apocalyptic show.

A lot of great new books come out in September each year, so this is a busy time for a lot of us. It also explains why I get behind in my reading right about now every year!

  10. I haven't watched it yet, but Last Light is intriguing to me too. I love Matthew Fox in LOST and I also love Joanne Froggatt in Downton Abbey. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I look forward to watching it myself.
