The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
Welcome to September! Time just keeps moving on, which of course, is a good thing :)
I only finished one book this week. I had hoped to read more but it didn't happen. I did enjoy the book I read, though. I'm still on track with my Goodreads challenge. I'm also doing pretty well with my other challenges. I don't know if I'll complete them all but I do enjoy participating in them.
I'm still enjoying the show For All Mankind. I'm up to season 3. I think there are 4 seasons total. I'm, also, watching Chesapeake Shores on the Hallmark Channel. This is the last season. It's very different than the books but I still like it. In general, I don't think TV shows or movies are as good as the books anyway.
We have a Labor Day BBQ on Monday, but other than that it's a pretty quiet weekend. I hope those of you who celebrate Labor Day have a great three day holiday weekend. I hope everyone has a great week!
Have a great LAbor Day! I want to watch For All Mankind. Been hearing very positive things.
ReplyDeleteUncharted Waters looks interesting. will have to check it out. I always love a good suspense or thriller at sea.
Enjoy your book freebies. I have so many from NetGalley that it's hard to keep up. Have a good reading week.
ReplyDeleteI generally like weeks where I focus on one book rather than reading several very quickly.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your Kindle freebies with us.
Enjoy the Labor Day BBQ!
I think I need to add For All Mankind to my watch list :)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
I didn't know Chesapeake Shores is based on books. I want to watch it, especially since it's based in my home state, but I have not seen any other season and I don't want to start at the end. Lol. I might have to find out if my library has all of the seasons, or maybe the books. Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteMy normal reading week is where I focus on just one book. Sometimes plans go awry, but that's what works best for me. Enjoy the BBQ tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great weekend. I have added Beachfront Bakery to my Kindle TBR! All those books look great though...
ReplyDeleteI didn't read as much as I usually do this August as I was out and about. Now that my son will be starting school I will probably get through more books!

TownShipped looks fun! Enjoy all of these and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a nice BBQ tomorrow! We're having a quiet weekend--trying to stay cool. I hope you are enjoying Uncharted Waters. I have heard good things about it. I hope you have a great week and enjoy you reading!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I have the first book in that Savannah Scott series and I need to read it I guess! Have a nice BBQ. We will actually be having a dinner at my brothers on Labor Day I think, he might even be cooking out on the grill, not sure. Have a great week!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Chesapeake Shores - but hadn't realised it was based on a book series. It makes sense, as the narrative arc is better than most long-running TV series:)). Have a lovely weekend, Yvonne.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the book you read and that you're enjoying watching your shows. :D I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
Your current read looks so great!
ReplyDeleteOh, and Murder Under the Tuscan Sun is a book right up my alley.
I hope that you have a wonderful long weekend!
I agree that shows and movies rarely live up to the books. Once in a while, though, you find a show/movie that is actually better (but that's the rare exception). Have a great Labor Day weekend!) - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the BBQ. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy whichever book you decide to read next.
ReplyDeleteI have the same attitude toward challenges - they can be used to motivate to read outside my usual genres or something, but if I don't "finish", it's fine with me, I still moved myself and my reading forward.

I do prefer books to TV series or movies but sometimes watch. Struggling a bit with Virgin R. So loved the books but can't stir myself to watch.
ReplyDeleteWe will have a rainy Labor Day, but I am working anyway, so it's just as well.
ReplyDeleteSummer Camp Culprit caught my eye this week. Thanks for sharing. Hope you enjoy your books.

I hope your Labor Day BBQ is fun. Nice looking books on your stack too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteWe had a small cookout after work on Friday night and attended an outdoor concert on Saturday. Sunday I stayed home ALL DAY, and hoped to get a lot of reading in, but somehow didn't. Today, Monday we did some family visiting (indoors because of rain) and I need to get ready for the work week now! :(
ReplyDeleteI recorded this season's Chesapeake Shores series, but so far have only watched two episodes. But I'm thankful for the DVR and being able to binge-watch! Enjoy your week and your books, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your BBQ! I'm excited for September because fall and cooler temperatures will be here in October. I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting A Death in Door County soon and looking forward to it. I hope you enjoyed your BBQ and are having a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your Labor Day Weekend! 😊
ReplyDeleteI'm really late doing my STS hopping. 🙃
