The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
Well, here in Florida we are waiting to see if Tropical Storm Ian turns into a hurricane. Hopefully it doesn't come here but they are predicting it could around mid-week. I'm sure all the stores have been cleared out by people stocking up. Fortunately, I think we have everything we need so I'm not going out to fight crowds. I'll just make sure my e-reader is fully charged in case we lose power.
Several TV shows have returned. I watched Survivor, The Resident, 911, NCIS, Chicago Med, Fire and PD, and New Amsterdam. All were good and I still had time to finish reading two books. I, also, completed a couple of reading challenges. A good week for me :)
No big plans this week as we watch to see how the Tropical Storm/Hurricane progresses. Even if we don't get it, we're likely going to have a lot of rain this week.
I hope you all have a good week. Prayers to any who are in the path of any storm out there. Stay safe everyone!
Some fun titles in the group - Seams Like Murder- ha! Hope the worst of the story misses you - a little rain is fine, just no hurricane, thank you very much!

not ready for hurricane season even though I'm not there.
ReplyDeletelots of cute cozies. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a productive week. I hope the storm doesn't get too bad. We don't get that sort of weather where I am in the UK (the occassional flooding, but I live in an area where so far we haven't been affected 🤞🏻) so I can only imagine how horrible it must be.

I'm in Florida too. We always have extra gnocchi, pasta, rice and supplies just in case. Michael was a horrible storm so we learned from that one.
ReplyDeleteJust like you, I am keeping my kindle charged. Can't be without books! Stay safe!
Glad to hear The Resident and 911 are back. I'll definitely watch those tomorrow. Here's my SP: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2022/09/25/sundaypost-precious-memories/
ReplyDeleteI know how nervous you are about the tropical storm in the Gulf. We are always on edge about the storms that form and head for the upper Texas coast.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had time to watch some of the new shows and you also had time to finish two books.
Hope the hurricane goes around you!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!

I've been thinking of you with the hurricane preparations... keeping the kindle fully charged would be pretty high on my list, too. Take care!!
ReplyDeleteHi Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteSo many great cat books you have today. You are going to have a rather cattish week ahead! Lucky you!
Have a good one.
Lots of Love,
I hope that storm stays clear of you! It must be nervewracking waiting to see what they do. It does sound like you had a good week... :)
ReplyDeleteTake care be safe!
Some good looking freebies there! I watched Survivor this week too, not happy about who they voted out though. :-( Hope you have a good week!

Hoping the weather is good to you this week!! Enjoy your new books and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHoping the hurricane/tropical storm doesn't come anywhere close to you but smart about making sure your e-reader is charged! I read Getaway with Murder and really enjoyed it and I hope you do as well! Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI hope you stay safe in the storm. Looks like some good cozies to read. I have not read any of the ones you listed, but I'm sure I'll be adding to my TBR. :-)
ReplyDeletePraying you stay safe from the hurricane. XO
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your family stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!

Best wishes to you! My family lost power in eastern Canada due to Hurricane Fiona. Water bottles have really helped. Good idea to fully charge necessary electronics. Take care! And stay safe!
ReplyDeleteOh my word I was just wondering if Survivor had started yet! I guess I'll have to get caught up on that this week.
ReplyDeleteI hope that hurricane fizzles out; I know we don't want it and I don't wish them on anyone. Good luck; praying for you all.
ReplyDeleteJust heard on the news this evening about the Florida storm, do hope it doesn't make land and cause havoc. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI hope you and your loved ones are able to stay safe
ReplyDeleteI like all those cat cozies! Fun. My update is here: http://www.lyndonperrywriter.com/2022/09/book-date-monday-7.html

ReplyDeleteI hope Ian misses you. I'm glad for the return of The Voice (even though I watch it the next day since I'm concentrating on baseball). Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI truly hope that you, your family, and all Floridians are spared the brunt of this storm. Keeping you all up in prayer.
ReplyDeleteHope reading provides some distraction.
