The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
I hope your year is off to a good start. It's been a quiet week here.
I ended last year and began this year reading a few novellas. I just wanted to read something quick and easy. I still need to finish this particular series, but I decided to take a break and read a thriller. The Patient's Daughter was one of those books I couldn't put down. My review will be up as part of a blog tour next Saturday.
I'm still binging on Game of Thrones. There are quite a few seasons to watch and I'm really enjoying it. I'm almost finished with season 2.
Other than that, the year is starting off quiet and I'm very happy about that. I hope you all have a great week!
Novellas always make you feel good because they pump up the numbers. :) Glad you've been enjoying these.
ReplyDeleteI really like novellas lately. It's nice to read something a little shorter.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a nice new year! I can't believe it's 2024 already!!!
A Summer Lodge has different covers. The same series or same book? Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteEach cover is a different color. It's the same series, but different books (prequel, #1, #2, #3).
DeleteHappy New Year Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful reading week
Reading short books to start off the year is a great idea! Hope 2024 is a great year!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!

Week in Review
It's a great plan to start the year with novellas. I hope to read more novellas this year.
ReplyDeleteI love quiet weeks. I'm looking forward to many quiet weeks in 2024.
I have discovered I am not a huge cozy mystery reader. I've tried them by several different authors. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reading time!
ReplyDeleteI am starting the year with a sweet romance novella. I love the Murder, She Wrote books (and t.v. series). They never disappoint. I hope you have a great week and a happy new year! :)
ReplyDeleteQuiet is always a good thing around here. :) Have a nice and quiet week. XO
ReplyDeleteLooks like some fun freebies there! Hope you enjoy 'em. And thrillers are a great choice for a quick read.
ReplyDeleteMy weekly roundup.
Yay for being almost done with season 2 of GoT. I think one of my favorite seasons is 3. :D

A quiet start is good. I'm glad you are enjoying the year so far!
ReplyDeleteNice to hear you had a quiet week. We can all use them from time to time. I love novellas. Your Kindle haul looks great. Hope you enjoy your week.

Good start to your year, its surprising sometimes how a thriller just hits the reading spot perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWe loved Game of Thrones, but we still have to watch the prequel series. I think I am a bit concerned it won't be as good as GoT!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are really enjoying yourself. I loved The GoT when I watched them but I feel like a rewatch is definitely in order as they are so complicated and in-depth that I am sure I've forgotten tons.
ReplyDeleteNow I need to check out The Patient's Daughter. It looks so good. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose novellas look good! It is always nice to read something shorter. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThe Patient's Daughter does sound good! I am glad your year is off to a good start. Mine has started offf quietly too, which was nice. I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reading!
ReplyDeleteQuiet is good. It's great you are doing well with moving into the new year of watching and reading.

A quiet week sounds like a good start to the year. I hope your year is a good one!
ReplyDeleteI like your novella idea. I finished the year by reading a giant book and started the year by reading a giant book. I hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteNovellas always help me reset my reading. Hope your year stays quiet!

I keep thinking that my husband and I should really watch Game of Thrones, too. We keep looking around for TV series we can jump into. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I'm starting Deadly to the Core and the Murder She Wrote book soon and I can't wait! There's nothing quite like a good thriller. Glad you enjoyed The Patient's Daughter. I'll have to look for that one. I hope you're having a great week!
