The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone dealing with cold temps and snow are doing well. It sounds like so many places are suffering right now.
I only finished one book this week and it's another good one. I'm off to a great start in 2024 as far as liking the books I chose to read.
In an effort to organize my reading, I went through some of the series books I started over the years and never completed but want to. I decided to use Goodreads for this. I made a shelf for each series and then added all the books. Until I come up with a better system, I'll use this, but I'd rather have some kind of list on my own computer or in a journal. Does anyone keep track of their series books? What method do you use?
As for what I'm watching, I'm still binging on Game of Thrones. I'm up to season 4. This week Chicago PD, Med and Fire all returned. So, I watched those, and they were as good as always. Another show I'm loving is Transplant.
It's been another quiet week here. I hope you are all doing well. Have a great week!
We're freezing again, but I'm dealing with it by just staying inside where it's warm! I've probably lost track of series that I started and would like to continue. That would be a good project for a cold day.
ReplyDeleteI read the last book in three mystery series this month. But I don’t know how I keep track, mainly I just look on amazon.com.
ReplyDeletebest, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I need a better method of tracking series I've started but having finished yet. Your method sounds better than what I currently have, which is no system at all.
ReplyDeleteNice to see a new Julie Mulhern book! I got way behind on that series!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun TBR! I keep track of series in a note book. It's not the fastest way but I enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI keep a stack of physical books and I put on the top of the stack the books that are calling to me most. I keep a TBR shelf on my Kindle so I can remember which books I most want to read. These usually get a little bit neglected.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're enjoying Game of Thrones! I barely read any series, so I'm pretty good at keeping track of things in my head.
ReplyDeleteWe are trying our best to keep warm in minnesota. cozy fires and books help:)
ReplyDeleteLibraryThing has an option to sort by series, or you could make your own simple spreadsheet. I use my book organiser app (Book Collectorz)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy reading week
I do a terrible job keeping track of series. All of the books you got free this week look like good reads! Hope you have a nice week and are able to do some reading!
ReplyDeleteI keep track of what I read and want to read on Goodreads, but never thought to categorize the different series of books. Good idea. XO
ReplyDeleteWe have had a lot of snow this weekend, but thankfully they keep up with the roads pretty good. I started a notebook last year with all the series I had already started (that I knew of from Goodreads) and added the ones I have not finished. It has been working for me. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI keep track of series on Goodreads. If you click on the series link, it lists all of them and it tells you which ones you've read and which ones you haven't. So as long as you mark it as read when done, there's really nothing else to do except look at the list. Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteMy brother called from Tampa and said it was cold got down to freezing but it was 55 now. That's more normal here 50s for high, 30s for low but our high today will be around 35,
ReplyDeleteI use a shelf in Goodreads labeled 3-next. The next book in each series I am reading is there. When I read one, I shelve the next one onto 3-next. I pick a series to work on for each month sometimes.
Anne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
You've made good progress on GoT. Wasn't the Red Wedding horrible? I was so mad / sad during that episode. Season 4 is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI keep track of series. I have a spreadsheet that I use to keep track of all my books and one of the tabs in the spreadsheet are for series. It makes it easy to keep track. :D
Oh, I hated the Red Wedding. Horrible and very sad. Although 99% of the show is like that.
DeleteMy reading list is a stack of books, most sloppy and old fashioned of me, I know.
ReplyDeleteIt has not been fun with the cold, our water froze for several days. I am so glad to see 40s even if it's raining. I am so over winter and ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!
Stormi
I like your idea for tracking a series or number of them on Goodreads, as good as most ways I reckon!
ReplyDeleteWe had to bundle up the dog to take him out yesterday. Bring on spring!
ReplyDeleteGreat group of books this week. So many neat covers. Hope you enjoy them all.

Back in the day I used to keep a spreadsheet list of next books in a series. These days I rely on Goodreads being correct.
ReplyDeleteI bought a series tracker sheet from Etsy, printed off and included it in my planner/reading tracker. It doesn't give me a place to include each title though, but does give me a box to check for each book once read. I like your goodreads plan though too. At least you can see each book.
ReplyDeleteI recently made a Google spreadsheet for my series but only included the ones longer than three books that I was actively trying to finish. I know I have lots more series I would like to finish that aren't on the spreadsheet yet. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThey all look nice cozy reads.
ReplyDeleteGoodreads seems like a good system. Good luck with your goals.
