The Weekend Review - April 26th-28th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

How was everyone's week?  I had a good one.  Nothing exciting going on.  I finished reading two books.  I guess that's exciting :) They were good ones.

As for what I watched this week - Survivor, Chicago Med, PD and Fire, and Fire Country.  All were good.  Fire Country had their season finale.  A cliffhanger!  I hate having to wait for the fall.

I've been getting some walking in, but it's obvious the weather is getting warmer, and I won't be able to do this much longer.  I figure I'll do it as long as I can before the humidity strikes.

Nothing else to report here.  I hope you all have a great week!

I finished reading ...

These are the books I'm hoping to read in May.  A couple are carryovers from April...

Here is this week's e-book freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. My husband saw The Book Club for Troublesome Women while we were on our bookshop crawl, and he pointed it out to me. I don't know why. lol

I want to get back to walking. I miss it.

  4. I read a Freya Sampson book earlier this year and really enjoyed it so the book by her really caught my eye. I have Bodies and Battlements which I'm looking forward to reading and I love Vera Wong! I'm not a fan of cliffhangers. I think that is one of the reasons I stopped watching network TV as often and wait until there are a few seasons stacked up so I don't have to wait to see what happens. Have a great week!

  9. A couple of books in a week is great. I saw a review for the Marie Bostwick book that was very appreciative of the book. I was sorry I didn't pick it up from the NetGalley.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
