Booking through Thursday - Celebrity Memoirs
Labels:
booking through Thursday
This week's question...
Do you read celebrity memoirs? Which ones have you read or do you want to read? Which nonexistent celebrity memoirs would you like to see?
My answer...
I do read them, although not on a regular basis. If I hear about something that might interest me, I'll read it. I've read Maureen McCormick's (The Brady Bunch) and William Shatner's. They were both interesting. I also read a couple of books that Joe Torre (ex-Yankee manager, now Dodger manager) wrote. I'd like to read the book Valerie Bertinelli wrote, but I can't say that I'm anxious to read it. I could have taken it out of the library by now, but fiction is more my thing and none of the memoirs out there really interest me that much right now.
I can't think of any nonexistent celebrity memoirs I'd like to read. I'm sure there will be a ton of Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson books coming out in the near future. Some of those might be interesting, but we'll see. It's not really on my radar right now.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

True, although I love memoirs I don't go out of my way to read Celebrity memoirs too.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, there will be tonnes of Michael Jackson bios soon. It would be interesting to read his own thoughts on his life, but I think a biographer would be able to put it into context better.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! I'm the same as you really, someone really has to interest me in order for me to read their memoirs. Happy BTT!
ReplyDeleteI am of a very similar opinion, I don't really go out of my way to search for celeb memoirs.
ReplyDeleteOh this is a good question! It really made me think about my book choices.
Here is mine!
Take care and happy reading!
Sassy

ReplyDeleteMy answer was big no, yikes, hopefully someone else said no too
I feel the same way.

I don't read many celebrity memoirs, but I love today's cat picture!
ReplyDeleteMostly I read memoirs of real people!
ReplyDeleteHere is my BTT post!
I tend to shy away from most celebrity memoirs. I suppose there might be exceptions. I do want to read Obama's for example. I am not sure why other than that I prefer to read memoirs about "ordinary" people.
ReplyDeleteI think I might like to read Maureen McCormick and Valerie Bertinelli's memoirs
ReplyDeleteI would really like to read the Maureen McCormick one as I loved the Brady Bunch.
ReplyDeleteMichael Jackson's, I reckon, would be interesting. However, I doubt we'll ever get an impartial honest book on him. Either people will make him out to be a martyr, or the devil himself. It's unfortunate, but despite all the great music of the 70s and 80s that he's given us, he's also been one of the most controversial figures in music.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, there'll be a lot of Jacko's Memoirs soon...But I don't think I wanna read it...I love his music but I don't like him as a person
ReplyDeleteI am in a minority probably, but I like reading celebrity memoirs.
ReplyDeleteI take them with a grain of salt-some of them can be very entertaining.
