Musing Mondays - Audio Books

This week’s musing asks…

Do you listen to audiobooks? Why, or why not?

My answer...

Yes, I do. I have a commute to work for a total of an hour a day. So, I figure in those 5 hours a week, I should get some reading accomplished. It doesn't always work out well since some books just don't work for me as an audio book, but I've been able to catch up on some series books this way. I find it's a little harder for me to listen to suspense books, but the chick lit or non-fiction books work really well for me in audio.

  1. I love audio books and always have one going in my car. I love, when possible, to also get the print version of the same book, so my reading seems to go twice as fast.

    I LOVE MR. Gatsby:)

    Have a great week Yvonne.

  2. Catsby is adorable. :)

I love to listen while driving, too. I find non-fiction to be the best choice for it -- if a few tiny details are missed, it's not as big of a deal as it would be with a mystery or something like that.

    Have a good Monday.

  5. LOL @ Great Catsby.
5 hours a week in commute is great for listening to audiobooks. I couldn't do that long of a commute with or without audiobooks!

I'm not a commuter and I don't like audiobooks, but you're right. 5 hours a week is a lot of time!

  7. I listen to them too when I'm walking the dog, doing laundry, stuff like that. I tend to listen to mysteries and the occasional funny romance.
