Sunday Salon - Fall is Here!

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, just click the button above.

I love fall! It's cool outside, the sun is shining...it's almost Halloween. It's also the time of year that I feel like reading my cozy mysteries more. I'm not sure why but fall and winter always seem like cozy mystery time (although I read them all year long anyway).

I wish I had time to join the 24 Hour Dewey Readathon, but I couldn't do it this time. Maybe next time I'll be able to. Good luck to all of those who are participating!

I haven't finished any books this week...that's the problem when I start reading two at the same time. I end up not finishing anything. I have some blog tours coming up and they are listed in my sidebar.

If anyone is interested, I have a different kind of giveaway going on - historical romance author Victoria Alexander is participating in an online chat for her upcoming book What Happens at Christmas and I have an opportunity to giveaway a space at the chat to one lucky winner. That winner will also win a copy of her book. Plus, there will be four other winners receiving a copy of her book. You can check out my giveaway by clicking here. The book looks really good and I will be reviewing it. I will also be hosting an interview with the author. I really love the cover of this book, isn't it beautiful?

I'm kind of doing an inventory of all my reading challenges. Next year I don't think I'll be joining so many. I still have 20 to complete and I completed 5. There are a couple that I think I'll be able to still complete. Next year I will once again host some of the challenges, but not all of them. Actually, I'm thinking of just continuing to host two of the challenges I usually host - Cruisin' thru the Cozies and What An Animal Reading Challenge? My favorite genres and challenges :)

I really can't believe it's almost the end of the year already. Unbelievable how fast time flies. I hope everyone has a great week!

  2. I signed up for fewer challenges this year, for which I'm grateful. As a result, I managed to finish all of them.

I liked the Cruisin' Through the Cozies Challenge, and think I'll do that one again.

I also need to do one that helps me tackle my TBR piles.

    Enjoy!

  3. I didn't have time for the readathon either (although since I spent most of the day unexpectedly at home yesterday due to a cough, I probably could have participated at the last minute - I didn't even think of it at the time).

I took this year off from challenges entirely, which was a huge change from previous years. What I've noticed is that I have less variety to my reading, but also fewer lists to keep track of. So it was a give and take. I'm not sure yet what I'll do next year.

  4. Yvonne, I am reading challenge challenged. I'm having a hard time completing them, even my own (but I am determined)!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.

Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.
