Sunday/Monday Posts - August 7th and 8th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday!

I'm off to a slow start today.  It's been a busy, crazy week and I've been trying to unwind this weekend. My reading has suffered but I did manage to finis one book this week.

I don't have too much to share with you this week.  I'm almost finished watching Bloodline on Netflix. Only one episode to go - very good show - and then I have to figure out what's next on my list to binge watch.

Since we're beginning the second half of the year, I need to re-evaluation the reading challenges I'm part of them.  There will be a few I drop.  A couple I've already finished and some I still have a chance to complete.  Next year I won't be joining many, if any.

Other than that, the weather is warm and humid, but it is summer time.  It's 1000 times better than snow and below 0 degree weather :)

Hope you all have a great week!

Yvonne

  1. The Book Club Murders looks tempting...and so do all the other cozies. Enjoy!

I'm glad you are loving Bloodline. I'm between Netflix shows right now, except I did start watching Doc Martin, which is quirky and fun.

I really loved The Last Tango in Halifax...but that's me, loving BBC shows.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  2. I Ned to read Unlucky Charms as well except I still need to read the first one. Have you tried Stranger Things on Netflix? My husband and I really enjoyed it.

  3. Yeah I'll take the heat over the cold, definitely. :) I didn't read a ton this week either. I liked Bloodline and am looking forward to S3.

The Crepes of Wrath looks fun.

  5. All but two of your books are new ones for me! I love finding new books and authors to follow. Hot and muggy here but I'm not complaining, as the alternative is cold. LOL
I've read several books and busy writing a bunch of reviews now. If only writing them was easy as reading the books!

  7. *eyes several of her books* You are such a bad influence on my book shopping and review requesting. :D

I hope this week is better for you!

  8. Unlucky Charms has an interesting cover, I bet I would like that. I am the opposite with weather, I would rather be cold and put on a coat or sweater.

  9. I gave up on challenges a while ago. Between my review commitments and my own TBR mountain, I have enough to keep track of. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  12. Cold weather sounds nice. I would love that. We lived in this house two years before we knew we did not have the heater hooked up. The house was built in 1965 and never had a heater. One of the stores we worked at never had a heater as well, still doesn't. It just does not get cold here.
The funniest thing I ever saw was when we first moved here. We had a cold snap and the temperature dropped to about 70. We saw people out with fur coats, fur boots, and SHORTS. I guess their legs don't get cold. One of our friends has only one pair of long pants that he only wears to funerals. Most people here go to church in shorts, even some preachers. It is just too hot. Never freezes.
