The Weekend Review - January 5th-7th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

I hope you all had a great New Year's and the first week of the year was good for everyone.  We went away for a few days.  It was great to get away and just relax.  Now, it's back to reality :)  The first weekend of the new year is starting out with quite a bit of rain.  At least it's not snow :)

I signed up for the 2019 Goodreads Reading Challenge again.  I made the 2018 one and even went over by a couple.  So, I'm happy about that and want to keep going with it.  I try to limit the reading challenges I join, but I have to admit that I do enjoy them.  I'm hoping the Mount TBR challenge will help me knock a few books off my ever-growing TBR.  I seem to be reading more ARCs than anything else and I want to change that.

I finished two books this week and I'm off to a good start.  Both were so good.

This weekend I'm going to try and organize my books.  I'm always organizing and re-organizing my reading.  I rarely stick to it, but I like to get a handle on what I need to read for reviews and blog tours.

Slowly my TV shows are starting to return.  So, I'm working those into my schedule too.  I started to watch the Netflix show You.  It's intriguing.

I hope you all have a great week, read many good books and/or watch great shows.

Yvonne

  1. Some great looking books here and yes, I'm struggling between reading and watching. Yes, rain is better than snow.

  4. I am constantly reorganizing my books! I always feel like I'm forgetting something, haha. It makes me feel better to keep a list of them in my planner, but sometimes things get overlooked.

  8. Nice looking books. I am trying to choose fewer ARCs and read more from my TBR pile too. Unfortunately, I'm stuffed with ARCs through March. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  13. You have lots of nice books there. I also read mostly ARCS but also library books, purchases and now I want to read all the things I see on the blogs I visit. It would work better if I could just read all the time. But I also love to organize and plan my reading and spend a good amount to time on planning. Good luck with your organizing. Have a great reading week! Anne - Books of My Heart

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
