The Weekend Review - November 2nd-4th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

November?  It's November already?  Really?  Sorry, but I'm not believing it.  LOL  I'm always saying this but it's true - time is flying way too fast.

I know I'm not going to complete many of my reading challenges this year, but I still enjoy doing them.  I'll be joining a few next year - not many - and hosting my annual three challenges as always.

I didn't accept too many blog tours in October or mid-November in anticipation of my move, but with time flying so fast, I have some that will be coming up soon.  My December and January calendars are already filling up.

On a personal level - it's taking a long time to get my new house organized, but it's getting there.  I still have a long way to go.

I'm way behind on my TV viewing but I am keeping up with some shows I'm enjoying - This Is Us, Survivor, Chicago Med and Fire, and How to Get Away With Murder.

Not much else happening around here.  How has your week been?  Anything new and exciting going on?

  1. I moved longer ago than you and still have much, much to do. You should be enjoying pleasant and warmer weather now after the move. Have a great week!

  3. I've actually not tracked a lot of my challenges. Hope to spend some time off at the end of the month figuring out where I stand. Hope you get things settled soon in the new house - congrats. I also see a few books here I need to check out.

  7. We moved so many times when we first married, but now we have lived in the same house for almost thirty-five years. I cannot imagine the difficulty we would have in moving. It's okay if you let a few challenges slide. I think you are doing great!

I hope you get lots of time to relax and watch a bit of tv in the coming weeks!

  8. I don't do reading challenges because I have a hard time remembering to keep track. Good luck with your unpacking and organizing. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  10. I moved last year and am still not 100% sorted in my new house so I wouldn't worry too much! You'll get there. :)

I don't think I'll meet all my reading challenges this year either but I've found them helpful just the same.

Hope you have a good week!

  11. Oh, I feel for you about the settling in after your move. But soon it will be just the way you want it.

I love This Is Us and How To Get Away With Murder. I still don't have a DVR, but I'm watching shows on Hulu if I miss them.

Enjoy your books and your week!

  12. I moved so often when I was younger. I've now lived in the same place for 15 years. That's a record. LOL I'm not going to complete all of my challenges either. Close but no cigar with a couple of them.

  13. I am not sure I'm ready to accept it is November, but here we are . . . It sounds like you are settling into your new home. I hate the packing and the actual moving, but I enjoy organizing the new place once we are there. Not that I want to move again any time soon though. LOL Emeralds and Envy looks cute. I hope you enjoyed Glass Slippers, Ever After and Me. I have my eye on that one to read. I hope you enjoy all your new books, Yvonne! Have a wonderful week and month of November!
