Review: Wyoming Special Delivery by Melissa Senate (Blog Tour)

About WYOMING SPECIAL DELIVERY

Their feuding fathers never could have predicted this…

He came to claim the Dawson Family Ranch…but was Daisy Dawson’s heart part of the deal?

Harrison McCord was sure he was the rightful owner of the Dawson Family Ranch. And delivering Daisy Dawson’s baby on the side of the road was a mere diversion. Still, when Daisy found out his intentions, instead of pushing him away, she invited him in, figuring he’d start to see her in a whole new light. But what if she started seeing him that way, as well?

My Review

It’s her wedding day! Nine months and pregnant, Daisy Dawson is getting ready to be married. The only thing missing is the groom. After getting dumped via text, Daisy runs as far away from home as she can get. However, it’s definitely not her day when she goes into labor on the side of the road.

Harrison McCord jumps into action when he sees Daisy in labor. He delivers the baby on the side of the road. The delivery brings Harrison and Daisy close, but when Daisy learns he’s really there to take her family’s ranch from them, she’s not all that enamored. Although, she can’t help but have some feelings for the man who delivered her son.

This is a heartwarming, sweet romance. It’s the second book in the Dawson Family Ranch Series but I absolutely did not have to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one. The author gives quite a bit of information so readers know what happened previously, but I don’t even think that was necessary as this story is contained in this book. (However, I already purchased the first book because I want to read it first hand myself.)

I loved the characters in this book. Our hero and heroine, Harrison and Daisy, have their flaws but they are both genuinely nice people you can root for. I could actually understand both of their point of views.

It’s been a long time since I read a Harlequin Special Edition but I quickly gobbled this one up. It’s a “feel good” type of romance that warms the heart. I’ll definitely be there for the next book in the series. Daisy has quite a few brothers and I just know each of them have their happily-ever-after story.
