The Weekend Review - May 2nd - 4th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

I'm totally losing track with what day it is anymore with this lockdown stuff, but I'm pretty sure it's the weekend :)  I really only know that because Blue Bloods was on last night and it's on Friday nights.  LOL

Our state is partially open, but my county is still pretty much closed.  Open or closed we still can't go out without masks.

My reading concentration is getting a little better.  Most of my TV shows are over or ending soon with shortened seasons.  So, that leaves me with even more reading time than usual.  There's still no sports so I have no baseball to watch either.  I signed up for quite a few blog tours (you can see what's coming up if you scroll to the end of this post).  I totally overdid it, but the books do look good :)

As usual, I picked up some free Kindle books for my huge collection.  I have no idea when I'll get a chance to read them, but there's no harm in getting them :)

One of our fellow bloggers, Sandra from Sandra's Book Club, has a reader review program.  Readers get free books in exchange for honest reviews and authors get the reviews. If you are interested, click here.

We are having beautiful weather this weekend.  It's great for long walks and reading outside.

What are you up to this weekend?  Anything good going on?

I hope you all have a great week.  Take care and stay safe!

Yvonne

  2. Reading outside sounds so nice . . . We should clean off our porch chairs and slider so we can enjoy this nice weather before it gets too warm. We've been opening the windows a lot to let in fresh air.

I hope you are enjoying your current reads! I look forward to your thoughts on Mousse and Murder.

You have some great reading ahead of you and lots of fun tours! I hope you enjoy all of them.

    Have a great week, Yvonne.

  3. I'm having the same issue- all the staying home is definitely causing my days to blur together as well! :) And we're still closed here too, although I see a LOT more people out and about when I do venture out to the store.

    Have a great week!

  4. I've totally lost track of time, too. I've had this cough for three weeks and it has worn me down. I'm not a person who likes to be by myself, and that has worn me down, too. I'm determined to keep my spirits up, though.

It looks like you are trying to do that, too. I'm glad you have been able to join in so many book tours. I'm glad you have gotten so many freebies. I'm glad the weather is good there.

This, too, will pass. This, too, will pass.

  9. What a great book haul! I feel you on the confusion about the day of the week. Last week was particularly challenging for me at keeping the days straight.

    Happy reading!

  10. Enjoy the good weather, it’s getting chilly here as Winter approaches.
I’m curious about Happy & You Know It, I like the cover.

  11. I've been rereading a lot via audiobooks. I haven't been too sure what day it is since I retired. With my brother home the last month, I can't even use his work schedule to orient myself. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  12. We are on a Safer at Home order which really hasn't changed anything for us. We are staying at home for awhile longer! I'm starting The House that Vanity Built soon and I'm so excited as I absolutely loved the first book. And I'm with you on the days blending together. I have to check my phone to have any idea what day it is. Have a great week!

  13. Reading and walking make great pastimes these days. We don't have to wear masks out thank goodness. People are chafing at the bit to get going although I am happy to stay home!
