The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
Hi Everyone! Happy Valentine's Day!
Does anyone have anything special planned for the big day? We'll probably just out to dinner, but that's about it. Then, a quiet evening at home watching TV 😀 Not very romantic but it's what we like.
I did manage to get a bunch of freebies from Kindle. Mostly are romances. Those are the ones on sale this weekend. I'm not sure when I'll actually get to read any of them.
I only finished one book this week and it was a good one. The review will be part of a blog tour later this week. Now, I'm reading a book by an old favorite author of mine that I haven't read in a long time - Susan Mallery. It's good so far.
Does anyone watch Your Honor or The Resident? Both of these shows were really good this week. I think this weekend is Your Honor's season finale. I have no idea if this is a limited series or will be back for another season. I've been trying a new series on the SyFy channel - Resident Alien, but it's a bit too silly for me. Maybe it will get better.
Other than that, it's business as usual here. How did your week go? Reading or watching anything good? Hope you all have a great week!

I saw a lot of romances available for this Valentine's Day weekend. Perfect timing, I think.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of the shows you have mentioned. I need to start planning for the time when we finish All Creatures Great and Small. We only have a few more episodes.
I hope you have a lovely Valentine's Day!
I'm still watching Riverdale (ridiculous) and I need to try the new Expanse season. I'm behind on shows so much lately seems like urgh.
ReplyDeleteI have so many mysteries I wanna get to.
Are We There Yet looks good.
I need to watch Your Honor, I love Bryan Cranston. Maybe tomorrow ?... We usually go out to a restaurant on Valentine's day, but this year, it's impossible, so we'll have a lovely meal home cooked by my boyfriend. Enjoy the restaurant and your week-end :)
ReplyDeleteWhat am I doing on Valentine's Day? I will be watching the zoom church services of two churches that I like and then making some pasta for dinner. No time for reading until the evening.
ReplyDeleteWe loved the first episode of Resident Alien, but not the 2nd, then the 3rd was better. I guess we are fans :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day Yvonne! My husband actually forgot it's Valentines Day and he couldn't understand why there's a little prezzie on his nightstand this morning. Ai yay yay... but we still love him!
ReplyDeleteThe Invisible Husband of Frick Island has such a nice cover and I like the title too. I'll keep on eye out for your tour.
Have a good week and say hi to the kittens.
Lots of love,

I totally agree with doing what works for us rather than trying to be mainstream romantic. I hope you have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteWe don’t tend to do anything for Valentines Day, my daughter and I are watching the third All the Boys I Loved Before though for a dose of romance
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week
This Valentine's Day will be a bit low-key as Himself went off to work at 6.30 am and will be back at 4.30, but he has bought me a lovely bouquet of spring flowers:)). We can't go out for dinner as we're still in lockdown and nowhere is open. And it's illegal to go out for non-essential trips, anyway... But I hope the next year will be better!
ReplyDeleteI have had my eye on Her Dark Lies...and also want to read The Vineyard at Painted Moon.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Valentine's Day. Dinner out and home to watch shows sounds perfect!
We are having a "candle light dinner" in our residence, so I expect delicious food with a pretty presentation.
Thanks for sharing, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
We exchange token gifts, but will eat at home (pandemic) We plan to watch a movie too. Hope your day is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour Honor is so good! Can't wait for tonight's episode. I don't know HOW they would be able to continue it for a second season, but I hope they find a way. LOL
ReplyDeleteHope ya'll have a lovely Valentine's dinner out! Nothing special going on here but I'm ok with that since it's just me, my cat, and my 93-yo mother. What is my life???? LOL
I am just going to snuggle up in my covers because it's absolutely freezing here and our fire is just not doing the trick and watch the new Crossword Mystery on Hallmark tonight. Valentine's Day is just another day to me..Single Awareness Day...lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and happy reading!

We're having a cozy dinner at home with the kids. It's too cold & snowy to do much else! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely, quiet Valentine's Day 😊 This week I finished a thoroughly enjoyable re-read of Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott and I watched the true-crime drama The Pembrokeshire Murders. Take care and happy reading in the coming week. 🙂
ReplyDeleteI saw of few romances. I watch romances throughout the year so I may be caught up(wink). Hope you have a great b-day. I usually like a box of chocolates and choice options.
ReplyDeleteNo big Valentine's plans here! V-Day has sort of paled since my daughter was born 12 years ago on 2/13...all our energy goes into her big day! - Melinda @ A Web of Stories
ReplyDeleteI go through sometimes and grab a bunch of freebies, mostly romances but often end up not reading them. I do get a lot of use of my Kindle Unlimited subscription
ReplyDeleteI've been reading a lot but still behind on writing reviews. Sigh. I'm watching The Sinner right now. Slow going so far. I think I'm just not in the mood.
ReplyDeleteNice assortment of books! I know what you mean about getting so many Kindle books that you have no idea when or if you will read them. I have well over 1000 right now. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely day! We had a quiet Valentine's Day, too, with takeout from our favorite German restaurant. I picked up some romances over the weekend, and reread a Nora Roberts romantic suspense I hadn't read in 6 or 7 years.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't do much for Valentines Day as all the restaurants are still closed here. We ordered a Thai food takeaway and watched a film together though, which was nice. I hope you enjoyed your meal.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books and have a great week.
Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day. We don't typically do much and just spent it bundled up inside. My husband did make some chocolate chip cookies so I'm a happy camper :)
ReplyDeleteI so loved that Susan Mallery book, I was in a bit of a reading slump when I read it and it picked me right up.
