No last names. No promises to meet again. No way for Payton Dahl to find the man who’s the father of her twin boys. Until fate reunites them four years later. Easton Wright now wants to be part of his sons’ lives—with the woman he fell hard for during those seven days and nights of bliss. Payton doesn’t want her sons to grow up fatherless like she did, but can she risk trusting Easton when she’s been burned in the past?

My Review

Payton Dahl allowed herself a perfect week with a stranger she met in a bar.  Easton Wright wants nothing more than a carefree week with Payton.  They didn’t even share last names.  Once the week ended, they went their separate ways.

Things don’t quite go the way Payton thought they would and she ends up pregnant.  Thanks to her own rules, she has no way of contacting Easton and letting him know he is about to be a father. Meanwhile, Easton can’t forget the beautiful woman he spent a week with and he does everything he can to find her, but he has no luck.

Four years later…they finally meet again.  Easton is more than shocked to find he’s the father of twin boys.  Payton wants him to have a relationship with them, but wants to go slow for everyone’s sake.

The hero was easy for me to fall in love with, but Payton took me a little time to warm up to.  In the end, I was cheering for these two and their cute little boys.

It’s a heartwarming tale with two characters wanting the same things, but scared to take them.  There were a few times I wanted to knock some sense into Payton but in the long run it made for a beautiful love story.

Christine Rimmer has been a “go to” author for me for years.  She always provides touching romances with realistic characters.  This is the first in a new series and I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

  2. I'm not a secret baby fan but this scenario actually makes some sense and wouldn't drive me mad! I like the sound of both of the main characters. I need to give this one a try!
