The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host! It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.
Hi Everyone!
It's been a crazy week for me. The week before we were on a cruise for a week. We had a great time. This week was all about catching up with everything. I had so many emails, laundry and, of course, reviews to write up. I seem to be on schedule now. The reviews I listed are all the ones I posted since my last Sunday post.
The cruise was beautiful. We were on the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). We went on their Aqua ship with ports in Dominican Republic, St. Thomas and Tortola. It was a lovely time. So relaxing. Well, it was relaxing after the first day. Those first days are always hectic. I managed to read three books while we were away. It's always easy to catch up on reading when you go unplugged for a week.
Besides playing catch up, I had my yearly mammogram. I'm happy to say the results were negative and I go back in a year. I was very impressed with how fast they sent the results.
Now I'm getting back into the swing of things Back to blogging, reading, reviewing, etc. etc. etc. So, how was your week? Anything happening in your part of the world?
I hope everyone has a great week!

Welcome home! It sounds like a good time, don’t rush around so much you need a vacation again, okay?

ReplyDeleteIt really was a great trip. So much fun.
DeleteI've never been on a cruise, but you make me want to go reserve a spot on the next ship out of port! I'm glad you had such a great time.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I can't wait for the next cruise. For now, I'm escaping in my books.
DeleteThat's the one downside of going away - having to come back to the mountain of chores that stack up. That said, it sounds like you had the loveliest time! I hope the coming week is less hectic, Yvonne:).
ReplyDeleteYes! Always so much to do after a trip. We did have a great time, though.
DeleteThat sounds like an excellent holiday. The books look interesting.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

DeleteGload the cruise was good and the mammogram had good results. XO
ReplyDeleteThank you. Always good to be back home with the kitties.
DeleteI was just on someone else's blog and they just returned from a Norwegian Cruise as well. Good to hear you had such a nice time.
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was fun.
DeleteGlad you had a good time on the cruise! I'm longing for some excuse like that to unplug and read a lot. Good luck settling back in and getting back into the rhythm of things!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's always nice to get more reading time.
DeleteSounds like a lovely vacation! Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteIt was. Thanks. You have a good week too.
DeleteOh your Caribbean Cruise sounds so lovely. What was so hectic about the first day? Just the getting on and getting settled or something else?
ReplyDeletePart of it was getting on and settled, but the other part was that one of my suitcases didn't get to me with the others. We had to go to customer service and fortunately they had it. During the luggage handling process, our handle was broken which had our luggage tags on it. I was very lucky that it was in customer service and not lost somewhere in the port of Miami never to be seen again. After that, it was smooth sailing.
DeleteGlad you had a good time on the cruise. We went on a 3-day cruise once to the Bahamas and it felt like we were gone for a week - so relaxing!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a relaxing time once you get settled and unpacked.
DeleteSo glad you had a nice time. Nothing like some R&R. Looks like some good books, too.

Thanks. It's always nice to get away, but it's also nice to go back home. Have a great week!
DeleteYour cruise sounds lovely. I don't know that I could go unplugged for a week without serious withdrawal symptoms though. Your books look good too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy a break from computers. It's a weird feeling but it's nice to concentrate on something else for a change. Have a great week!
DeleteThat cruise sounds really nice and so much time to read. Yes being unplugged sure improves time available for reading. Hope you feel all the post cruise jobs are done now.
ReplyDeleteI'm all caught up with everything now. I did enjoy my break.
DeleteI'm reading The Island Club at the moment and enjoying it so far. The cruise sounds amazing. We've only been on Disney Cruise line and really love it but I think the next cruise will be Celebrity. I've heard good things about NCL as well. Have a great week and hopefully you're all caught up.
ReplyDeleteWe've been on Celebrity and that's a great cruise line, too. I hope you get a chance to go. Have a great week!
DeleteI’ve only been on two cruises but I loved the freedom of them, nothing to do but lay around, read and eat!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your week
A cruise sounds so lovely!
