The Weekend Review - April 18th-April 20th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a crazy week for me. The week before we were on a cruise for a week.  We had a great time. This week was all about catching up with everything.  I had so many emails, laundry and, of course, reviews to write up. I seem to be on schedule now. The reviews I listed are all the ones I posted since my last Sunday post.

The cruise was beautiful. We were on the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL).  We went on their Aqua ship with ports in Dominican Republic, St. Thomas and Tortola. It was a lovely time. So relaxing. Well, it was relaxing after the first day. Those first days are always hectic. I managed to read three books while we were away. It's always easy to catch up on reading when you go unplugged for a week.

Besides playing catch up, I had my yearly mammogram. I'm happy to say the results were negative and I go back in a year. I was very impressed with how fast they sent the results.

Now I'm getting back into the swing of things Back to blogging, reading, reviewing, etc. etc. etc. So, how was your week? Anything happening in your part of the world?

I hope everyone has a great week!

  5. That's the one downside of going away - having to come back to the mountain of chores that stack up. That said, it sounds like you had the loveliest time! I hope the coming week is less hectic, Yvonne:).

  13. Oh your Caribbean Cruise sounds so lovely. What was so hectic about the first day? Just the getting on and getting settled or something else?

    1. Part of it was getting on and settled, but the other part was that one of my suitcases didn't get to me with the others. We had to go to customer service and fortunately they had it. During the luggage handling process, our handle was broken which had our luggage tags on it. I was very lucky that it was in customer service and not lost somewhere in the port of Miami never to be seen again. After that, it was smooth sailing.
