The Weekend Review - June 13th-15th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Nothing new to report here. Our weather is hot and humid so no walking for me and it's too humid for me to even sit outside and read. It's much more comfortable inside with the a/c going. At least for me it's more comfortable.

I finished two books. Both were good and both were books I've been wanting to read. I haven't been watching much TV.

My goal is to keep reading and knock a few books off my NetGalley list.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Yvonne

  2. It has been hot and humid here too and I am with you. Under a ceiling fan with the AC on is the place to be. I'm on hold for The House Wife -- it looks good!

  12. We're having a new garden room built and after the mini-heatwave in May, we've taken the decision to have aircon fitted! But the huge majority of homes in the UK don't. Have a great week, Yvonne.

  13. We have been having unseasonably cool weather. I was lots more tempted to turn on the furnace than the air conditioner. I'm trying to read down some of my review copies which would go easier if I didn't keep adding to the stack. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. It's so easy to add review copies when you don't really mean to, isn't it? I can't seem to help myself. I hope you have a great week!

  15. I keep thinking about getting a walking pad so I can get more walking in without having to go outside. All of your new books are new to me this week! I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on them. Have a great week.

  16. A walking pad sounds interesting. I've never heard of such a thing before. It would be so helpful in such a heatwave like we're having this summer. Criminally Cocoa has such a cute cover, but I'm interested to hear what you think of Lost in thr Summer of '69. It sounds fun.
