Summer seems to get stronger here in Florida. We have heat advisories almost every day. Mostly I've had a quiet week.
I had my stress test earlier in the week. I go this week for the results. Hopefully it will just be a "see you next year" type of visit.
I only finished one book this week. I think it was because my mind was on the stress test. This week should be a better one. I haven't been watching much of anything on TV. Before you know it, all the fall shows will be back but I'm not ready to think about that just yet.
Other than that, it's the same old same old here. What have you been up to? I hope everyone has a great week!

These are the books I'm planning to read through September. I'll probably make changes along the way, though.
Here is this week's e-book freebie haul. They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.
I can't even imagine being in Florida at this time of year. Have you always lived in that state? We have several friends who summer in Washington and move to Arizona in the winter. Just wondering if that is how you ended up there.

We moved here 6 years ago. We're from New York. Both of our families live here now and wanted us here too.

DeleteFingers crossed that your stress test results are good. I keep up with family in four locations across the US, and everyone in every place has had heat advisories every day this month.

DeleteYeah, if I have things on my mind while I’m reading, it really can disturb the reading process for me and the memory process. Actually, I can’t read books if I’m really going through tough times.
ReplyDeleteIt really is difficult. My mind keeps wandering. I'm doing better now that the test is over.
DeleteIt's also extreme heat here. I try to do some blogging ahead (2027) each year during this time when I'm not excited to go outside. Stay cool!

DeleteI'm not a fan of humidity, so I can only imagine what it must be like in Florida in August. We had milder weather this week, and I didn't go out much as I hurt my ankle on Tuesday. I hope your stress test result is good and you can forget about it for another year, Yvonne.

DeleteHope the summer gets no hotter. I love the look of The Guest Who Never Checked Out. The cover makes it look like it could be the dog but I doubt it. However the cover says "read me".
