If you'd like to play along on Teaser Tuesdays, just click the button above.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I haven't started this yet, but I intend to in the next couple of days. This book is out of my normal reading genre but I wanted a change...
Her mother, after hearing about the letter, was not too happy. "Melinda, you have a life here. How about James? I know that he wants to marry you."
"But Mama, I'm not in love with him, and he knows it, too."
"Melinda, that comes with time. It comes with marriage. Don't expect to be swept off your feet, my dear."

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

Sometimes it's fun to read something outside of your usual genre, isn't it? I hope Melinda tells James to forget about marriage.
ReplyDeleteHere's mine: Teaser
I guess times were different in the 'Wild West'. This sounds like a fun book to read. I wonder did Melinda marry James, and fall in love later?
ReplyDeleteWow! Kinda glad I didn't live back then...I loved being swept off my feet :)

That's how they thought years ago, isn't it? This would not be one I'd normally read, but I am a bit curious. Great teaser.
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing teaser...Hope you enjoy this book!
ReplyDeleteAh, the age old debate: what comes first, love or marriage? Thanks for sharing. My teaser is here.
ReplyDeleteAh, that's an age-old dilemma...which love to choose. The one that "might" grow or the one that sweeps you off your feet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing....
Here's MY TT POST and
MY WEBSITE

I have heard good things about this one. Enjoy it :)
ReplyDelete"James doesn't care if you love him Melinda dear; not as long as you darn his socks, keep him warm at night and bear him some younguns!" hehe!
ReplyDeleteI hope Melinda finds someone who does sweep her off her feet.
