First Chapter Tuesday/Teaser Tuesday - October 17th

Every Tuesday Diane at Bibliophile By the Sea hosts First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros, where we share the first paragraph or (a few) of a book we are reading or thinking about reading soon. Care to join us?

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, now being hosted by Ambrosia at The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I will be starting this one soon...

First Chapter...

The six white squares of paper lay like fallen tomobstones on the table. Slowly, almost ponderously, Trudy Tucker moved her left hand toward them. Her tapered fingers hovered two or three inches above the table, and then she moved her hand back and forth as she closed her eyes.

Within seconds, the tingling blossomed in her fingertips, but she continued the sweeping movement as the sensation traveled up her arm. Because she wanted to be certain. She had to be certain.

What do you think? Would you keep reading?

  1. Yep. I'd keep reading. I wonder what she's doing. I like that cover too.
