The Weekend Review - August 14th-16th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Another hot and humid week here.  We fortunately missed Tropical Storm Fred hitting us.  We are getting some rain, but nothing terrible.  Now, Tropical Storm Grace is next.  I'm not sure what, if anything, that's going to bring.

I finished two good books this week.  I completed a couple more reading challenges and I'm ahead on my Goodreads challenge.

I'm still not doing much TV watching, but Chesapeake Shores' new season starts tomorrow so I'll be watching that.  I always enjoyed that series.

No big plans here.  I'm just relaxing and enjoying my books.

What was your week like?  Hope you all have a good one.  Take care and stay safe.

  1. Aside from the tropical storms trying to wreak havoc it sounds like you're having a pretty ideal summer! 'My Darling Husband' and 'Nanny Dearest' look great! I hope you have a lovely week :)

  2. It's really hot here, too! And we don't get any air movement when it's this hot - so it feels even hotter. I might go to the lake today to be able to cool down.
You shared a lot of interesting looking books today! I look forward to seeing your reviews.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  3. I've given up on cozies but love a light romance every now and then, plus the psych thrillers that abound in the library.

  4. Your title made me think of how we remember books based on the title alone like 'the decorator who knew too much' priceless..maybe less tv is good..hope you get out this week.

  6. So glad Fred missed you. Let's hope Grace peters out before she gets here.

Mysteries set in an ice cream shop? Very fun! Lots of flavor titles to choose from.

Two good books is a great week, I think.

  10. From what they are saying now, Grace is supposed to miss us, but you know how things can change.

I've only watched one season of Chesapeake Shores but loved it. I'll look for the other seasons.

  16. As always great books. May be I should restart watching Chesapeake Shores again. I read a couple of the books only so if it deviates from them I won't notice.
