My Review

The Casserole Ladies of Thomasville, Georgia have one thing on their mind - catching eligible men.   They’ve even taken to voodoo rituals at the local cemetery and visiting a nudist colony.  These older women will do whatever it takes to find a guy.  However, they are not alone in their quest.  Another group, the Mahjong Mammas, are looking for the same thing but they aren’t quite as nice as the Casserole Ladies.

The two groups compete at every turn. Mainly their targets are recent widowers.  It all leads to an explosive ending involving a major bet on national television.

A zanier adventure would be hard to find.  I don’t know how the authors came up with such crazy situations for these women, but this story truly leaves you laughing out loud.  The dialogue is witty and clever.  You can’t help but shake your head at the antics and naivety of The Casserole Ladies.

This is an entertaining dive into southern fiction and The Casserole Ladies.  Older women just looking for love and companionship in a whacky, humorous fashion.  I can really see this book played out on the big or small screen.
