The Weekend Review - August 20th-22nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Another week in August is gone and it brings us closer to autumn.  Not that we really have autumn weather here in Florida.  But, it does bring us closer to Halloween.  It's too weird how time is flying.

I only read one book this week.  It's a good one and the book I'm currently reading is really good too.  I'm so lucky in the books I've chosen to read and review.

I started watching a new TV series on Amazon Prime, A League of Their Own.  It's based on the movie, which is one of my favorites.  The show is good too.  I still have to watch a few more episodes to know for sure.  Better Call Saul ended the series and I was sad about that.  It was a good one.

Not much new going on here.  I hope everyone is having a great weekend and has a great upcoming week.

  3. I'm so excited for autumn and especially autumn weather to hit! I just want it to rain and cool down xD And yay for your book choices working out. I've been having a really hard time picking my next read, so I'm hoping your good fortune inspires mine! And I've heard really good things about the A League of Their Own show so I'm glad you're enjoying it too! Enjoy your new books and have a good start to the week!

  4. I can't believe how fast time is going!

Autumn for us here is slightly colder and darker evenings. The weather is steadily becoming more unpredictable though!

I love it when I choose a good book to read!

    Have a great week ahead!

  7. I love Halloween. This summer sure went fast. I'll take note of the Husband book.

  8. The Casserole Ladies and Take My Husband both sound like books I'd enjoy. I'm reading two very light books right now, and I really don't want to get to the end of either of them.

We don't get autumn here along the Texas Gulf Coast either, but that's okay. We do get cooler weather, and that has to be enough.

  12. I was also sad to say goodbye to Saul Goodman and the other characters in Better Call Saul. I enjoyed that series more than Breaking Bad.

  19. I'm glad the book you read this week was a good one. That's always nice, isn't it? I've been doing more TV/movie watching than reading lately. Hopefully, I can read more soon.

  20. I love summer and am always disappointed when the days shorten and the weather cools. But summer in Minnesota isn't like summer farther South. Your books do look good. I am also reading a lot of cozies these days. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
