The Weekend Review - September 17th-19th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Not too much happening this week.  I had a doctor's appointment with a new-to-me doctor.  I have to have an endoscopy and colonoscopy in November. The endoscopy is to check out the acid reflux which could be causing my chronic cough.  The colonoscopy is a routine screening.  Not thrilled about having either but they need to be done.

We've been having a wet week in my part of Florida this week.  Loud thunder and heavy rains.  This is the type of weather that just makes me want to read more. I completed three books this week.  Two short ones and one full length.  All were enjoyable.

My blog was busy this week with many blog tours.  Starting next week, I will be doing less of them for awhile.  I'm taking a break...sort of.  I'll still be doing weekly memes and reviewing whatever I read, but not as many tours for now.  I'll probably pick things up in November again.

As for viewing, I just started a series on Peacock called Devil in Ohio with Emily Deschanel.  It's a suspense/thriller and pretty good, so far.  I think there are only 8 episodes.

So, what's been going on in your corner of the world?  What are you reading and/or watching?  Hope you all have a great week!

  1. I got access to so many freebie ebooks that I stopped looking for them as I couldn't read them all. Have fun with yours.

  3. I hope your endoscopy and colonoscopy go well in November. I haven't yet had a endoscopy, but I have been through a couple colonoscopies. They are never pleasant. I hope they are able to find the cause of your cough and that they can resolve it. Your possible upcoming reads all sound so good! I love kitties on covers! I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reading!

  5. I hope that all your scopies go well. I try to limit myself to maybe 2 or 3 blog tours a month, but I have gone over a couple of times - it is so hard with so many interesting new books coming out!

    Have a good weekend!

  8. I hope you find comfort in the time leading up to your tests in November. Looks like a wonderful selection of books. I will need to check out Last Pen Standing. I love the idea of a stationery shop mystery series. :-)

  9. Lots of books added to your stash this week - look at all those cats on the Halloween covers! I've had to really cut back on the Freebies....I have way more than I can keep up with - BUT, they're free. Sigh. I'm just trying to be more discriminating when I choose one. Hope you get time to settle in with a really good book this week.

  11. I've been trying to cut back on tours too a bit. I need to get a colonoscopy soon I think. I think I've reached the age. Ugh. Hope you have a good week!

  12. I had both a endoscopy and colonoscopy this year for the same reasons. Fortunately, it's been very helpful. I've been on some great GERD meds and it's helped me a ton! I hope yours yields the same type of results. :D
