The Weekend Review - September 24th-26th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Well, here in Florida we are waiting to see if Tropical Storm Ian turns into a hurricane. Hopefully it doesn't come here but they are predicting it could around mid-week. I'm sure all the stores have been cleared out by people stocking up.  Fortunately, I think we have everything we need so I'm not going out to fight crowds.  I'll just make sure my e-reader is fully charged in case we lose power.

Several TV shows have returned.  I watched Survivor, The Resident, 911, NCIS, Chicago Med, Fire and PD, and New Amsterdam. All were good and I still had time to finish reading two books. I, also, completed a couple of reading challenges.  A good week for me :)

No big plans this week as we watch to see how the Tropical Storm/Hurricane progresses.  Even if we don't get it, we're likely going to have a lot of rain this week.

I hope you all have a good week.  Prayers to any who are in the path of any storm out there.  Stay safe everyone!

  1. Some fun titles in the group - Seams Like Murder- ha! Hope the worst of the story misses you - a little rain is fine, just no hurricane, thank you very much!

  3. Sounds like you had a productive week. I hope the storm doesn't get too bad. We don't get that sort of weather where I am in the UK (the occassional flooding, but I live in an area where so far we haven't been affected 🤞🏻) so I can only imagine how horrible it must be.

  4. I'm in Florida too. We always have extra gnocchi, pasta, rice and supplies just in case. Michael was a horrible storm so we learned from that one.

Just like you, I am keeping my kindle charged. Can't be without books! Stay safe!

  6. I know how nervous you are about the tropical storm in the Gulf. We are always on edge about the storms that form and head for the upper Texas coast.

I'm glad you had time to watch some of the new shows and you also had time to finish two books.
