My Review
Olivia Sutton leaves her old life behind to start over in Timber Falls, Colorado. She plans to purchase a local bookstore but instead discovers a dead body and a cat looking pretty raggedy. Of course, the police immediately suspect Olivia of murder, but she’s new in town and has no reason to kill anybody.
Olivia becomes attached to the kitty and helps clean her up. She names her Millie. Things turn a little crazy when Olivia starts to think Millie isn’t an ordinary cat. Perhaps there is some magic involved, but Olivia just thinks she’s losing her mind or becoming too anxious with all the things going on… being accused of murder, not knowing if she can still buy the bookstore…. It’s all getting very complicated.
She has no choice but to find a killer and prove her innocence. Then, she can move on and make a new life for herself. With Millie's help, they conduct their own investigation.
I really enjoyed this one. It’s the first in a new series. Olivia and Millie make a great sleuthing team. I’m always partial to cozies that feature cats, so this one won me over right away.
The storyline moved at a fast pace. I was totally engrossed in it and wasn’t expecting the ending. Being surprised is a bonus for me. I will definitely be continuing with this series. I can’t wait to read more.
