The Weekend Review - December 7th-December 9th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to Stacking the Shelves which is hosted by Reading Reality.

Hi Everyone!

Busy week...I've been trying to catch up since coming back from vacation.  The hardest part was writing the reviews of the books I read while I was away.  There were so many and I hate to write the reviews too long after I read the books.  I prefer writing them as soon as I finish a book to keep all the details fresh in my mind.  But, they are done now.

I'm totally behind on my TV, but I try to keep up on a few shows like Survivor, Fire Country and Blue Bloods.  It's hard to believe Blue Bloods will be ending after next week's episode.

Not much else going on.  I'm hoping for a quiet week this week.

Hope you all have a great week!

These are on my list to read for the rest of the year.  I don't know if I'll accomplish that, but I'm going to try.

Here is this week's Kindle freebie haul.  They were freebies when I got them, I don't know if they still are. Always make sure to check they are still free before buying. The prices change quickly.

  1. I hope you had a wonderful vacation! I also prefer writing reviews as soon as I read the book. Usually before I start another so I don’t muddle up anything. A Christmas Kiss for Miss Trudy looks like a cute read.

  3. I also think it's easier to write the review shortly after reading the book. Great you are caught up now.

  6. I try to write reviews right away, too. It gets harder and harder the longer I wait. Hope you had a great vacation!

  7. I know what you mean about waiting too long to write reviews. I read so many that they jumble in my mind. XO

  8. I always try to write up the review the same day I finish the book. Otherwise it seems like I forget details.

Good luck with your quest to finish all those books before the end of the year.

  9. I also find it tough writing reviews if too much time passes. Hope you enjoyed your time away.

  12. Oh wow fancy getting that message in your cookie. If I leave too much time before writing a review I am in big trouble!!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!

After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
