About the Book
Synopsis from Goodreads:
A lifeless body lies sprawled on the library floor, and Maggie's trembling finger points in horror. It's no accident—it's murder.
The once-cozy aisles now feel like a sinister maze as Mia and her friends stand frozen in shock. Shadows seem to move on their own, and strange whispers echo from unseen corners.
Every creak of the shelves adds to their growing dread. The presence of the killer hangs heavy in the air, unseen but dangerously close.
With fear tightening its grip, they realize they might not make it out alive.
My Review
What a wild ride this book is! I don’t want to give away any of the plot, but I will say this is the craziest library and group of women I’ve ever seen. I do enjoy a good cozy mystery set in a library or bookstore.
The book is filled with humor and mystery. Two things that make the book a page-turner. There’s even a unique twist on time travel. I was a bit confused at times, but I also enjoyed this adventure.
It’s a quick read. It’s part of the author’s Green Acres cozy mystery series. I haven’t read any others, but I’d like to. This one is the most recent, so I’ll want to check out what happened in the previous books. This felt like a standalone book. I didn’t even realize there were others when I was reading this one.
It’s an intriguing series with intriguing characters and situations.
