The Sunday Salon

It's a beautiful Sunday here - it's 87 degrees and the sun is shining. This is after a week of rain, clouds and thunderstorms.
I started the weekend by finishig "Catnapped" by Gabriella Herkert. It was good. Now, I'm actually juggling two books, which is something I never do. I never ever read more than one book at a time.
My next book had to be William Shatner's autobiography "Up Till Now" because I got it from the library and it's due back. However, I had to go to the beauty parlor yesterday and I didn't want to lug a hardcover with me. So, I took the second book in G.A. McKevett's Savannah Reid Mystery series "Bitter Sweets" and now I can't put it down! I love it. I seem to be going back and forth between both books, but I was right the first time - I don't like reading more than one book at a time. LOL
I hope everyone has a great week!

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog! I always love reading comments and getting to know my readers!
After some careful consideration, I've decided to become an award-free blog. Although I appreciate and am honored by each and every award I've received, your comments and friendship are enough award for me. Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness.
Due to way too many spam comments, I disabled the Anonymous User comments. We'll see if this works, otherwise I'll have to go back to word verification.

I'll be curious to read your thoughts on the Shatner book. He's an interesting character. I know he's written those sci-fi books, but I haven't read any, so I'm not sure whether he can write.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost finished with the book and I'll post my thoughts sometime during the week. I've read the Star Trek books, but not the ones he wrote.
ReplyDeleteCaptain Kirk's got an autobiography? Cool! Do tell how you like it!
ReplyDeleteReading more than one book at a time is easier when they're different types of books. I inadvertently found myself reading a collection of short stories by Stephen King and I Am Legend, also a collection of short stories, by Richard Matheson at the same time. Matheson was one of King's biggest influences, and it showed between the two, lessening the enjoyment of King's.
happy sunday salon, enjoy your reading.
ReplyDeletethat william shatner book looks good.

I finished the Shatner book last night and will report on it either later today or tomorrow. He's certainly a colorful character. LOL
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your review on William Shatner's autobiography. :)
