Blog Tour: The Shepherd by Ethan Cross
Genre:
Suspense, Thriller
Publisher:
The Fiction Studio
Format:
EBook (also available in paperback)
Release Date:
March 2011
Marcus Williams had been a New York City homicide detective, but his career went downhill and he had no choice but to leave his career behind. He feels as if he’s failed everyone, but he’s determined to protect those he cares about. Francis Ackerman, Jr has also hurt many people but his intentions are not as honorable as Marcus’. He enjoys watching others suffer. He inflicts as much pain as he possibly can.
Ackerman makes a game of killing as he leads Marcus on a dangerous chase leaving behind many dead bodies along the way. Marcus finds obstacles along the way and they aren’t all from Ackerman. A vigilante throws a few stumbling blocks of his own in the way. Before long, Marcus isn’t sure he can tell the good guys from the bad guys.
Marcus finds himself a part of a deadly political conspiracy and doesn’t know just how high it goes. A serial killer, a political conspiracy and toss in a touch of romance in the form of the beautiful daughter of a vigilante and Marcus’ more than has his hands full in staying alive and keeping others out of harm’s way.
Ethan Cross has written an exciting, captivating and enthralling adventure. This is one book you want to make sure you have plenty of time to read because you will not want to put this one down. There were quite a few twists that I didn't see coming.
I can see this book being made into a movie. It’s a thrilling ride that will leave readers wanting more. I know I want a sequel and fast!
One note – there is quite a bit of violence in this, so if you are bothered by that, this probably isn’t the book for you.
It gets five kitties from me, plus the Socrates' Great Book Alert.
