This week's question...
Does your current mood affect your reading? Affect your choices? I know there are plenty of books I enjoy, but only if Im in a particular kind of mood–or books that can lift me out of a bad mood without fail. Surely I’m ot alone?
My answer...
Definitely! I'm a very moody reader :) There have been times I'd start a book, but couldn't get into it so I'd put it aside. I'd go back to it a few months later and it ends up being a 5 star read for me. Sometimes it's all about the frame of mind for me.
I know what you mean, but thinking about it, I'm not laying down a book again that often. I think it's only happend a couple times during all my reading years. oO
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your answer. =) My BTT and happy raeding!
Yes, I agree....I do try to plan my weeks, but I also consider my moods...and you're right about the timing of when we read a book that affects how we enjoy it...or not.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY BTT POST
I usually stick to what I'm reading, despite my mood.

I only stopped reading a book once, it was pride and prejudice, I still haven't finished it. but for the most part I keep reading it even if my mood is a little bit of.

Interesting musing. I do find that sometimes I am more in the mood for a certain type of book than other times. And when I'm in a good mood, my reading's enhanced!
ReplyDeleteI hope that happens with me with the last book I stopped reading... I'd love to come back and have it be a 5-star read. Wish I could remember what kind of mood I was in when I just couldn't keep going, all I can remember is that it just wasn't working ;-) I'm a moody reader, myself... Here's my BTT post!
ReplyDeleteThat's how I am right now. I started Fever by Lauren DeStefano but couldn't wrap my mind around reading it so I decided to go back to it after a while and read a few other books first.
