Spotlight: Pinot Envy by Edward Finstein

About the Book

Pinot Envy by Edward Finstein is a spine-tingling and fun filled whodunit mystery novel set in beautiful Napa Valley, the best of San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area.

In Pinot Envy, we meet detective Woody Robins, who is a quirky, loveable, bon-vivant, wine guru with a passion for vintage clothes and music, who specializes in investigatory work involving rare artifacts of a vinous nature. Hired to solve a case regarding a stolen rare and priceless bottle of red burgundy that is said to have been the personal vintage of French emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte, he finds himself wrapped up in more than he anticipated.

Tested by a colorful cast of characters, deceit, blackmail, intrigue, dealings with the mob and even murder, even the man who hires Woody has a few secrets of his own and his family has even more.

Aided by his dozy boyhood sidekick, his girlfriend, aunt and detective buddy with the San Francisco police, Woody embarks on a case of a lifetime and in the process learns a thing or two about himself.

With beautifully written scenic landscapes of wine country and descriptions so clear, lively and extremely crisp, you can almost taste the wine while reading the book. This fun mystery book lets the reader learn about wine while solving a mystery.

Written by the “Wine Doctor” himself, Edward Finstein, this book is full of wine knowledge without the snobbery and mystery without the over-kill. Perfect for a fun summer read with a glass of your favorite wine!

“…this is one book that hits on all cylinders: humor, mystery, adventure—the author has certainly put his years of experience and knowledge in the wine industry to great use.” ––Suspense Magazine
