Sunday/Monday Posts - March 16th and 17th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

Happy Sunday and Monday Everyone!

It's been a busy month at Socrates' Book Reviews with all the new March cozies being released.  A big thank you to Berkley Prime Crime Mysteries for giving me a chance to host these giveaways.  It's been fun.  I will still be doing them, but not quite as many as I've been doing.  I need to give myself some time to do other things :)

Next week I only have two blog tours scheduled.  I'm hoping to catch up on a few book review requests and learn to pace myself a little better than I've been doing.  We'll see how that works out.

The weather is actually getting warmer.  So perhaps Spring really is just around the corner.

I hope you all had a great week and have a good one this week!

I finished reading...

I'm currently reading...

I'm still listening to...

These are the books I hope to read in March (but will most likely carry over to April) ...

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?

  1. Thanks for hosting so many wonderful book giveaways.
Yvonne, I hope the week ahead is filled with quality reading time for both of us. I've been too busy lately, and feel as if I need more time for reading.

  2. Yay for spring, I hope so for you

  3. I am eagerly awaiting Tempting Fate....I think it comes out on Kindle on Tuesday, so I'll be celebrating with Sparky.

Enjoy your books...and good luck with your new pacing. Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES

  4. I so can't wait for Spring! Have a great week!

  5. I am loving all the cozie mysteries and would you believe I woke to snow *headdesk*

  6. I hope to get to some cozies soon.
I'll have to check out the Macomber and Green books.

  7. Happy springs (whenever it actually arrives). You've been the cozy go- to site for the last few weeks, hope you had fun with it. Hope your week ahead is a great one.

  8. I'll be interested to see what you have to say about Big Money. I've read that one too.

It is good to know when you need to switch gears. Don't wear yourself out and keep taking good care of yourself!

  9. Sounds like things are thawing out, hope Spring is just around the corner. Book review requests and pacing ... hmm that's a work in progress for me too, even though I've cut back this year. Have a great week and enjoy your new reads :)

  10. Hope Spring is going to come soon. Enjoy all your reads.

  11. Good luck with your planning, my best efforts always seem to go by the wayside!

    Have a great week

  12. Your upcoming reads look very good. Enjoy!

    My post:

  13. Got an ARC of Load the Boat and enjoyed it. The theme is square dancing, but it didn't overwhelm the story which had a good plot.

  14. Ah, pacing yourself. What a concept! It seems like I routinely say yes to review requests despite my heavy review calendar. But I have no willpower and the books sound so good. Come see what I did last week here. Have a wonderful week!

  15. Looks like you had a busy week last week. I hope you enjoy your reads this week. Jane Green's book looks lovely.

  16. We have been so lucky with the weather I have to say, I've been in the back yard all weekend. Oh, I haven't seen a Jane Green book for a while, enjoy your book haul. Have a great week and Happy Reading!
