Sunday/Monday Posts - March 9th and 10th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

Happy Sunday and Monday Everyone!

Happy Daylight Savings time!  I hate losing an hour of sleep. Sleep is very important.  LOL

Things have been hoping on my blog this week.  It's Berkley's 20th anniversary so we've been celebrating that, plus it was also cozy mystery release week.  So, the first two weeks of March are filled with cozy mystery giveaways at Socrates' Book Reviews.  That's been keeping me so busy that I didn't get a chance to participate in some of the regular book memes that I visit.  Hopefully, I'll be better this week.  Although, I do have quite a number of cozy giveaways scheduled for this week, too.  Make sure to click the giveaway button on my sidebar and enter for a chance to win some good books.

As for our weather, they threatened us with a snow storm at the beginning of the week but it fizzled out and turned out to be a big nothing.  Not that I'm complaining.  I'm happy about that and right now it's 55 degrees.  Of course that doesn't stop them from threatening more snow at the end of next week, but I'm ignoring that right now.  I'm just concentrating on the sun shining and the lovely 55 degree temps :)

Other than that, not much going on this week.  So, what have you all been up to?  Read anything good?  See any good movies?

I hope you all have a great week and read many great books!

Yvonne

  3. It looks like you had a great week! I don't mind Daylight Savings Time so much (mostly because I wake up early every morning anyway, ugh. I'm not sure how I got THAT habit but sometimes I could do without it).

  4. Enjoy your books! I don't like time changes, either, especially the "losing sleep" kind.

I saw the movie About Last Night, which was a remake of the 80s flick with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore. I liked the original better.

Enjoy your week...and here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES

  5. Nice selection of books. And about the change in time, I tell myself I didn't lose an hour of sleep, I gained an hour of reading time :)

  8. I'm not crazy about losing an hour of sleep either. I need more sleep, not less. :) Hope you enjoy the temps! The Berkley giveaways sound fun .

  10. I hated losing that hour this morning... even though I went to bed early, I couldn't sleep. Oh, well, it's only one day a year. :-)

Iced to Death looks cute. I'm off to check out a few of your posts that I missed this week. Have a terrific week!

  13. The only thing good about the time change is that this time of year it means Spring is close. We rented "Nebraska" this weekend. I enjoyed it a great deal, maybe because I have always liked Bruce Dern, I recognized the setting of Billings MT, Rapid City SD( my hometown) and I am of the same age! Both my DH and I laughed out loud at some of the scenes and teared up at others.

  14. Ah, Spring weather. We are to have 45 today but snow/sleet tomorrow. Our roads are still icy from the last batch of yuck! Come see my Monday Report if you get a chance. Happy reading!
