The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
Happy Sunday and Monday Everyone!
Hello and welcome to March! We are already in the third month of the year, I just can't believe it. 2014 is already flying by. We had a decent week weatherwise, a few snow flurries but warmer temps. Then by the end of the week, the temps dropped. Now we are sitting here and waiting for yet another huge snow storm...please get here soon Spring!
Now, to the blog stuff...I've mainly been busy getting ready for the March posts. No blog tours or reviews to post this week. I've been reading but they are books for March and won't be posted until the tour. Big things are coming up...on Monday, March 3rd, Berkley Prime Crime Mysteries (the makers of some of my beloved cozies) are celebrating their 20th anniversary. They are giving me the opportunity to host a huge giveaway in their honor. So, tune in Monday for more details and how to enter.
As I did in February, I am once again hosting giveaways for Berkley's new March releases. I hope you will all check in throughout the month and enter. As usual, they have some great books coming out in March.
I'm looking forward to watching the Academy Awards. I rarely see the movies nominated before the awards, but I do love watching the Red Carpet and seeing what everyone is wearing.
So, what have you all been up to? Read anything good? See any good movies?
I hope you all have a great week and read many great books!
Yvonne

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?
I am hoping to go and see 12 Years a Slave this coming week, depending on what the weather decides to do...
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I'll probably catch parts of the awards. I haven't watched ANY of the movies, though. lol. Enjoy your upcoming reads.
ReplyDeleteWe got snow again today... it just doesn't want to let up. Enjoy the Academy awards- should be fun. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week :D
ReplyDeleteAcademy Awards start at 1m Monday morning here due to time difference but my hubby might stay up as he is a real movie buff. If I were a betting woman, my money would be on 12 years as a slave which I did watch - great acting. Book-wise, I do like the look of Double Shot.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and Happy Reading!
My Sunday post is here
I'm trying to work ahead these days. It helps me to at least get the template of what I want to write.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Sunday Salon.
What an awesome week you have planned this week! And have fun watching the Oscars tonight - I might just watch for the giggles and so I can cringe a little ;)
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
We apparently will have some snow overnight tonight. Ugh.. Enjoy your week. :)

We had springlike weather...and then, a rain storm blew in and changed it all. But rain is needed here.
ReplyDeleteI love watching the Oscars, too, and sometimes decide to watch movies that won.
Looks like a great week ahead for you...enjoy! Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
Looks like you've got some great reads lined up for March. Berkeley publishes some of my favorite cozies too, so I'll be back to check out the giveaways.
ReplyDeleteMy Weekly Recap: http://www.bookclublibrarian.com/2014/03/weekly-book-recap-56.html
I love mysteries too - though I tend to read the classic ones (Christie, Queen, Dickson Carr, Stout) and to watch the modern, police procedural ones (L&O, CSI), and not the other way around! Will check out the blog tours though :).
ReplyDeleteI won't be watching the awards. And I have tons to review in March, but I'm not ahead of the game yet. *sigh* One of these days I'll get more than 1 day ahead. lol
ReplyDelete*rubs her hands together* Yes, more chances to win! :D
ReplyDeleteYou've got a nice assortment lined up for this month, I hope they'll all be good.
I forgot about the Academy Awards. I doubt if I'll watch. I'd rather read. :)
I have not seen any of the nominated movies either. I think everyone is waiting for Spring! It can't come soon enough. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIf you liked Pearls and Poison you might like Handbags and Homicide by Dorothy Howell. It's a fun read.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from The Sunday Post. New Bloglovin' follower.
