Sunday/Monday Posts - July 20th and 21st

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

Happy Sunday and Monday!

How is everyone enjoying their summer?  Go any place exciting?  Reading many great books?  It feels like the summer is flying by and it's already half over.

I've been busy on my blog.  Last week I had quite a few blog tours and a couple of giveaways.  They are still going on - if you want to enter, just click on the button in my sidebar.  Only a couple of tours next week and August looks to be a busy month.

I managed to complete my goal for the 2014 Netgalley Reading Challenge.  I still have alot of Netgalley books to read, but at least I completed the challenge I signed up for.

I've been watching quite a number of summer TV shows and enjoying them.  Two of my favorites are already over - The Night Shift and 24.  Both were really good.  The Night Shift will return next summer but we don't know about 24 yet.

So, what have you been reading?

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?

  1. I like all your " current" reads. All new to me as well.

  2. Bitter Chocolate looks good! Glad you are enjoying Orange is the New Black.

Have a great week! Here's my MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES POST

  3. I haven't read yet but will probably read or watch to see what the hubbub is about Orange is the New Black. On my site I linked up a long interview with Larry Smith, who apparently is her real life husband and portrayed in the show.
I am guilty of selecting too many NetGalley books to ever catch up to, and also a large tbr list on my kindle. Enjoy your week.

  4. Bitter Chocolate looks good.

My NetGalley keeps yoyoing as I finish some and get more, but I'm steadily making progress.

    have a great week!

  5. Congrats on reaching your NG goal. Hope you have a great week.

  6. Bitter Chocolate and the Debbie Macomber look interesting. I've read some of her Blossom Street books but haven't gotten to Cedar Cove yet. I'm making progress on NetGalley but still not quite where I want to be. Have a great week!

  7. I liked the end of 24 wondering what will be next for Jack. The Night Shift was a good show and I look forward to its return. Have a great week.

  8. Happy reading and way to go with the 2014 Netgalley Reading Challenge.
I actually managed to finish two books this past week while on vacation so that was good :)

  9. I didn't see any of 24 but everyone I know who watches it liked it a lot. Now I have to play catch up. :)

  10. Not, heard of any of those except Debbie Macomber's. :) Hope you enjoy your reads. :)

  11. Summer is racing by, isn't it? Looks like you are keeping quite busy. Come see my week. Happy reading!

  12. These are new ones for me, but I hope you'll enjoy reading them :D

    My Sunday

  13. I'm glad you're in the mood for Christmas too.

  14. Summer is going WAY too fast.

I have been reading a lot of great books. I just finished THE MILL RIVER REDEMPTION by Darcie Chan. Loved it.

Butter looks good. I hope you are enjoying it.

    Have a great week.
