The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!
I'm also linking to Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.
Happy Holidays Everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying this time of year. I spent most of this last week in bed sick :( I had a high fever, congestion, etc. etc. etc. I'm finally starting to feel a little better, but it really drained me. I always think at times like these I'll get a lot of reading done, since I can't do much else. However, it didn't happen. I kept starting books and just couldn't get into them. It wasn't any of the books' fault, I just wasn't in the reading frame of mind, I guess. Anyway, I'm doing better now and should be back to my old self.
I thought I would read a bunch of holiday books, but I only ended up reading one. I just couldn't get into any of the others. Maybe now that I'm feeling better, I'll go back to them and see how they work (or don't) for me now.
I'm pretty much set with my 2015 reading challenges. I joined a total of 5 and I have the 3 I host. So, I'll be doing 8 challenges, which is a huge cut for me. I usually wind up joining anywhere from 20 - 30 each year. Definitely a light challenge year for me in 2015.
As for 2014, I completed 10 reading challenges. I don't think I'll be able to complete anymore than that with only a couple of weeks left to 2014. Still, I'm happy with this.
Oh, I almost forgot, I do participate in the Goodreads yearly challenge but I don't include it on my challenge page since I have the widget from Goodreads and they keep track of it for me over there :)
Do any of you belong to The Reading Room? I received an invitation to join and I hadn't heard of it before. I was wondering if any of you participate in it.
As if I don't have enough distractions, I joined the new social media TSU. So, if you are over there, feel free to add me as a friend. Here's my link - https://www.tsu.co/Yvonne473 I'm still playing with it, but it looks like fun.
I hope you all have a very happy holiday week!
Yvonne

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?
Oh, it sucks to be sick, especially this time of year. Glad you are feeling better...and you have really nailed it with your challenges. I finished one and bowed out of the other because it was a TBR Challenge, and the remaining book choices no longer appealed to me.
ReplyDeleteI did do the Goodreads Challenge and completed it.
Enjoy your reading, and the holidays...and thanks for visiting my blog.
Hope you're feeling better, and have a wonderful holiday. I read a few holiday books (something I don't always do) and it got me in the Christmas mood this year. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the cover to Mistletoe in Manhattan- has a real Christmas in the city vibe. Glad it was good.
Oh no. Sucks being ill :/
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all of your books! I can't ever get enough cozies:)
ReplyDeleteSorry you've been ill and glad to hear you're doing better. I was hoping to avoid it this year after spending last Christmas in the hospital. But, I'm starting to come down with a nasty cold. Oh well, that I can handle.
I have no clue what I'm doing with TSU. I'll play with it after the holidays.
have a lovely Christmas:)
