Sunday/Monday Posts - February 1st and 2nd

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

February sure arrived fast.  I feel like it was just Christmas.

Well, this week started out crazy with a blizzard.  We ended up with 27 inches of snow.  Now we're expecting more snow tomorrow night into Monday.  Some reports are saying another 10 inches.  Plus, it's so cold that everything is icing up and making driving conditions hazardous.  I want spring! LOL

I didn't get very far in my reading, but that's mainly because I've been so concerned with the weather and getting to work.  I haven't been able to do much concentrating on reading, but I did finish a wonderful novella by Duffy Brown called Dead Man Walker.  It comes before the next book in her Consignment Shop mystery series.  I'm still listening to All Fall Down by Jennifer Weiner.  I only listen to audios during my commute to work so it takes me awhile to finish, but this is a great book to listen to and I'm enjoying it.

I have quite a number of blog tours scheduled for February.  I'm looking forward to those.  I'm trying not to schedule too many, but I don't think I overdid it.  I should be able to handle these.

So, how was your week?

Yvonne

  1. I read All Fall Down last summer. Fascinating about the deep, deep web, isn't it? I'm clearly too sheltered to have ever heard of it before that book but on the rare occasions it comes up now, I feel so smart. :-)

  2. I have the new Duffy Brown novella, but still need to read the prior book - Pearls & Poison...hoping to get to that one soon, so I can read the novella and be ready for when the next book comes out!

We were fortunate w/ the storm/blizzard last week - only got 6-7 inches, but then got another 3 the other day and are due for more tonight! Hope you fare well with this latest storm!!!

  3. 27 inches wow! We lucked out and got less than a foot. I so hope tomorrow doesn't bring too much more!

  4. We've managed to miss all the nasty weather. It is snowing lightly right now but I don't think we're supposed to get more than 4 inches. I know how distracting weather can be. Hopefully, you'll be able to read some more this week. Happy reading!

  5. Hope Mother Nature is kinder to you with this next storm. I can relate to the worrying about getting to work...and back.

  7. You and I are having the same weather. :( But it let me get more reading done, which was good. Hopefully, the next snow will be milder than they're calling for!

  8. 27 inches of snow?? I think I'd just lock up. I kind of overdid it with blog tours but I think I've got it under control now. Looks like you've got some good reading going on. I'm really curious about the Duffy Brown consignment series. I've had the first one on my shelf for a long time and am looking forward to reading it. Hope you have a great week!

  11. I have Dead man Walker too. Thought it would be a great introduction to the series and the authors writing.
I feel for you having to dig out and drive in that white stuff, snow. The day I moved south it was so cold the key broke off in my car door. Don't miss it and all and will rush spring to you. LOL
