The Weekend Review - April 6th-8th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now being hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme with a new host!  It's now being hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I'm also linking to  Stacking The Shelves which is hosted by Team Tynga's Reviews.

Happy Weekend!

All week we had cooler weather with the wind making it feel like we were still in winter.  Now that the weekend has arrived, it's been warmer and feeling more like spring.  Hopefully, it stays that way.

It's been a long road to catching up from my vacation.  I still have many TV shows to watch and I'm not reading as much as I would like.  I'll get there, though.  I'm really enjoying the books I've been reading.  My problem is that I've been jumping around from book to book because I'm so anxious to read them all NOW.  That never works, though.  All it does is leave me with several unfinished books.

Not too much new happening personally.  I'm getting into the swing of things on my new job and all is well there.

What have you all been up to?  Read or watch anything good?  I hope you all have a good week!

These books are coming up for reviews and/or blog tours in the next couple of months:

  1. I'm glad you are getting into the swing of your new job.

I like to read several books at a time, but I'm not sure I could do that with mysteries. I'm afraid I might get the plots confused.

I hope you have a marvelous week and get caught up from vacation.

  2. We had snow on Friday and then 60 degrees yesterday. Today it's also in the 60s. I'm more than ready for spring. I can't read several books at once. I'm usually a monogamous reader, although I sometimes am a bigamist too (in terms of my reading). I am planning on reading All Things Wise and Wonderful by James Herriot this afternoon after catching up on Sunday Salon posts.

  3. So many books, so little time! I hear you on that one. I'm currently actively reading four books (well, three plus an audibook), and there are a bunch more I started which are now in various stages of hibernation. I hope you're able to get caught up or at least settle to a few books at a time!

  5. I'm glad to hear the new job is going well. Sometimes the catchup after a vacay makes me wonder if it was worth going. I'm trying to get ahead now for a short trip in May. I can only read one ebook and one audiobook at a time. Although I occasionally have to switch to a different one if I don't have the timing figured out right for reviews, and then switch back once finished. Have a great week and better reading!

  6. I’ve had that problem too; where I’m jumping book to book without finishing any of them because I’m anxious to read all of them. Hopefully, you’ll find one you love and won’t want to stop reading! Have fun with all of your reading goodies this week!

  7. I can see by looking at your books why you want to read them all now. LOL I jump from book to book to and finally make myself settle on one and finish it first.

  14. Vacations are fun, but they make everything so discombobulated. Good luck with catching up. Have a great week!

  15. Yay for getting into the swing of the things with the new job. It's such a great feeling with things start clicking. I know the feeling when you're trying to read all the same books at once. I get frustrated with myself that I can't read faster! Have a great week!

  16. Vacations are fun! I came back from mine about two weeks ago and I still feel out of routine. I hope you are able to catch up soon.

  17. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's an impatient reader. I've been suffering with a lot of headaches this week, I stupidly signed up to lots of reading challenges and I haven't managed to finish reading my current ARC (publication day was March and it's already been archived on Netgalley).

I hope next week is more organised for the both of us. Lol!
